Can you believe Spring Break is next week??  We are planning on having a little staycation and enjoying some activities around town this year. Fort Worth has so much to offer, the kids won’t be complaining of boredom!  Check out some of these area attractions!

Herd Cow CampMarch 12-15 | 1:30-2:30 pm – Saddle up your buckaroos for hands-on experience of roping, sorting and saddling as well as cattle drive demonstrations and chuckwagon stories by real cowboys.

iphone 032713 035 Fort Worth Nature CenterMarch 10-14 | 8 am-5pm – Pack a lunch and enjoy hiking through trails of forests, prairies and wetlands in this 3,000 acre park. Each day will feature a spring break activity such as bison feeding hayride, canoe fest and scavenger hunt. The kids will enjoy checking out the prairie dog village on their hikes and you will enjoy how much energy they will get out.

Amon Carter MuseumMarch 11-14 | 10:30-noon – The museum is hosting free activities and hands-on programs for children. Art materials will be provided for the kids to create projects that relate to earth, wind, water and fire. Cookies and lemonade are provided.

The ModernMarch 10-13 | 10am-5 pm – Bring your budding artist to discover great works of art and to create their own masterpiece. The tour and projects focus on select works from the Modern’s collection. Admission is free on Monday, March 10 from 10 am to 5 pm. and is also offering free hot dogs and chips to children under 12.

Kimbell ArtMarch 11-13 | 10am-3pm – This free Asian inspired art extravaganza will give kids the opportunity to create paper cranes, learn art making techniques, calligraphy, storybook times and films. Daily activities are listed on their website.

Mainstay FarmsMarch 13-15 | 11 am-5pm – There is plenty of fun to keep the entire family entertained for hours with mazes, jumping pillow, sand volleyball, 3-story tree house, hayrides, race pedal carts and more! And plenty to eat as well, The Plate (grill with hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, & more) and The Filling Station(hand dipped ice cream, floats, old fashioned drinks, funnel cakes & more) are the perfect places to grab a bite in the middle of the fun.  With Spring comes the birth of their baby goats, so make sure to go see those adorable little guys when you visit.

Fort Worth Science & History Museum – So many incredible exhibits going on right now or starting this weekend, including Indiana Jones and Adventures of Archeaology, Wizard of Oz Children’s Educational Exhibit, lots of shows going on at the Omni (including Dolphins that starts this weekend), and the Planetarium.

Log Cabin VillageMarch 15 | 1-4pm – It’s time for spring at the Village!  Cap off your spring break by playing with old-time toys and games, plowing the field…and more!   No reservations required.  Cost is regular Village admission plus a $2 fee if you wish to make a craft to take home.

iphone transfer 060313 034 Fort Worth Zoo – Spring Break Camps are available for children in 1st – 6th grade.  The zoo is always a very popular destination during Spring Break.  If you do decide to visit, we advise you get there before it opens so you can get a good parking spot and know that Wednesday (half price tickets) is especially busy.  We love our zoo and it shows this coming week!

Fort Worth Botanic Gardens – Free entry, roam the grounds, enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful surroundings.  Butterflies in the Garden in the conservatory.  There is a cost to get in this exhibit.
