Recap: Moms’ Morning Out at lululemon athletica

1

The Fort Worth Moms Blog and lululemon athletica hosted the first ever Moms’ Morning Out on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Now this may sound cliche or even cooked up, but it was such a fun time!

Nearly 60 Tarrant County mamas braved rain (and floods!) to take over the lululemon store in the University Park Village. The staff at lululemon (thanks, Andrea!) turned the store into a Moms’ Morning Out haven with seating and yummy breakfast treats.

Attendees scored swag bags featuring loot from: lululemon athletica, Beautycounter, Pure Barre, Karmany Yoga, Origins, Lemongrass Salon, Volo Vitamins, and Camp Gladiator.

Six lucky ladies won giveaways, which were:

Even with all these goodies, the definite highlight and hit from the morning was gaining encouragement, inspiration, and a challenge from the guest speakers. Stacy Buky, of Camp Gladiator fame, started off with great reminders about and ideas for time management to find balance in the wife/mom/career/fun/chores aspects of life. Next, Brooke Hamblet, owner of Indigo Yoga, scored big points with her straight talk about the power of saying no, the real reasons moms struggle with overcommitment, and ways to avoid this rut. There may or may not have been tears; it was THAT good.

(Oh, and then there was the time lululemon’s store opened at 10, but Moms’ Morning Out was still in full swing, and this poor young fella walks up to the door, instantly becomes confused and terrified, and turns around . . . ONLY to be convinced to come inside by one of the lululemon staff. He walks in with the undivided attention of 60 women and says, “I just need some shorts.” And we all laughed. Most memorable store visit of his life, no doubt.)

Mothers Morning Out-42What a treat it was for the FWMB staff to meet Moms’ Morning Out attendees. We’re often behind the computer and only connected virtually with you, so it was a JOY to chat with so many at the event! We are only a couple of weeks away from our next event — VIP Shopping Party at Stella’s. Can’t wait to see you there!

  1. What an awesome morning! It was tough to leave the kiddos, but it was certainly worth it. I was truly inspired by both speakers – signing up for my Camp Gladiator session, brainstorming ways to time block in my own life, and taking ownership of the word (and concept of) “no”. I cant wait for the next event, and am so thankful for this opportunity from the team at FWMB!!
