Mom & Me Discovery Date :: Recap

Big thanks to the Amon Carter Museum of American Art for hosting the Fort Worth Moms Blog and, oh you know, 160 of our closest friends for the Mom & Me Discover Date. It truly was a heap of fun — and our largest playdate to date.

Swag bags for the kiddos included prizes from:

The moms scored giveaways, featuring prizes from:

After the event, Austin’s Underdawgs and Gypsy Scoops were on site to provide a picnic opportunity for attendees. Despite the wind, it was DELICIOUS. (Hint: Both of these Fort Worth food trucks are available for rent. Let them handle the food at your next party!)

If you missed the Mom & Me Discovery Date, don’t fret; more play dates are on the horizon. Check out our regional and topical Neighbor Groups, who schedule regular playdates and meetups. Also, the Amon Carter Museum hosts its Storytime event throughout the summer. Storytime is held every Wednesday, June 7 through July 26, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. And it’s FREE!

The next event for the Fort Worth Moms Blog focuses on the mamas this time. Bloom :: An Event for New & Expecting Moms happens May 20 at Cook Children’s and provides an afternoon of pampering, treats, swag bags, giveaways, panel discussions, and a workshop or two to provide you with resources for parenting kids ages 0-2. Hope to see you there! (Psst, there is only a limited number of swag bag tickets; so get yours before they are GONE!)
