100 Kid-Friendly Films for Family Movie Night

0

Whether or not you have a Pinterest-worthy family movie night, planning for your next one just got a little bit easier. The Fort Worth Moms Blog put together a list of 100 kid-friendly films — from classics to new favorites. Pop the popcorn, grab your favorite candy, dim the lights, and settle in!

In parentheses following the titles are the MPAA rating and the Common Sense Media age recommendation, but as in any other situation, you know your kids best and what they can handle as far as content goes. Check out Common Sense Media if you haven’t already because it’s a great resource for books, movies, and video games.

Also included is the release year, for reference. Keep in mind that movie ratings have gotten a little stricter than back in the day. It’s funny how innocent movies from the ’80s were when I experienced them as a kid. I learned the hard way that content and language restrictions were a little looser back then.

Here is our list, in no particular order.

Kristy
Kristy was born and raised in Texas and has lived here all her life except for a brief period of time when she lived it up in Los Angeles, California. She is the proud mom of three boys and is the girliest boy mom you've ever met. In addition to her mom job, she is also a school librarian and author of professional books for librarians and teachers. She is a writing trainer and loves to share her passion for writing with others. Her favorite things in the whole wide world, after her family, are quiet mornings spent nurturing her coffee addiction, books, snow days, and her two crazy dogs. When left to her own devices, she can be found wearing yoga pants and binge watching Netflix, all while chasing after three wild boys and spinning plates on all 20 of her fingers and toes. Kristy is the new PR & Marketing Coordinator for the Fort Worth Moms Blog. Her role is to connect local businesses and moms with the extensive resources FWMB provides.
