No longer does slimming down or looking and feeling a few years younger require surgery. Today, many concerns can be addressed with non-surgical alternatives. But with so many options, it can be hard to keep up with the latest ways to look your best.

I am here to answer your questions about popular non-surgical treatments for moms. I’m delighted to do so, and I’m especially excited to tell you that all of the treatments below — and many more — are available at our brand new medical spa. Kalos Medical Spa at Kirby Plastic Surgery is now open in our new state-of-the-art, private facility within the Shops at Clearfork.

non-surgical treatments

CoolSculpting

In a nutshell: This procedure reduces stubborn bulges by freezing away fat cells, which your body eliminates as waste. It’s non-invasive, and there’s no downtime. Full results are visible in two to three months and last indefinitely with a healthy lifestyle.

How much does CoolSculpting cost in Fort Worth?

CoolSculpting is priced per session and area, which is highly variable per patient, depending on your treatment areas and goals. Up to 25 percent reduction in a fat pocket is possible with each treatment, so CoolSculpting can be a great value for those looking for modest fat reduction.

Should I wait until I’m done having kids?

There’s no need to wait, as we advise with tummy tucks. CoolSculpting can actually be a perfect option to improve your shape between pregnancies, as there is no downtime, and each treatment costs a fraction of what you might pay for liposuction. CoolSculpting may even make losing the baby weight a little easier the next time around, since you won’t have as many fat cells in that area for fat to accumulate.

How long does the procedure take, and how many treatments do I need?

The latest CoolSculpting technology, which we have at Kalos, takes just 35 minutes per treatment. We also have two machines, so we can treat the left and right sides of the body in one 35-minute session (often called DualSculpting). The typical patient returns for two or three treatments to achieve optimal fat reduction, although many patients are happy after one treatment.

Ultherapy

In a nutshell: This non-invasive skin-tightening procedure uses targeted ultrasound to tighten tissues and induce collagen production, helping to lift and smooth skin on the brow, jowls, neck, or chest.

How long do results last?

Many patients notice improved skin tone right away, as the heat from Ultherapy causes some immediate contraction. More significant improvements become visible over the following two to three months, as your skin makes new collagen. The wait for results is well worth it for most patients; one treatment can provide a satisfying lift that lasts a year or longer.

How much does Ultherapy cost?

Ultherapy prices vary depending on the treatment area. A smaller area, such as the brow, will cost around $850 or so, while a full face and neck treatment will cost $5,000 or more. Compare this to a surgical facelift, which costs at least $10,000. While affects aren’t as dramatic, Ultherapy can be a more appropriate and cost-effective option than surgery for the patient bothered by mild jowling or skin sagging. And unlike a facelift, it won’t require weeks off from work; you can return to normal activities right away.

IV Therapy

In a nutshell: Intravenous fluids infused with vitamins and antioxidants boost energy, reduce muscle fatigue, prevent headaches, or help you bounce back from physical or mental stress.

Am I a good candidate for IV therapy?

Almost anyone can benefit from IV therapy. It’s a safe, effective way to rehydrate and replenish nutrients quickly in the body. Patients choose a formula based on their needs. Popular options include our anti-aging formula, weight-loss booster, immunity defense, migraine relief, and energy booster. It’s important to choose a medically trained provider to ensure your safety. At Kalos, IV therapy is exclusively performed by board certified physician assistants, who are experienced in administering IV treatments.

How long does IV therapy take? How many treatments do I need?

IV treatments take 45 to 60 minutes. You can relax, watch TV, or take a nap. Most patients notice a difference in their energy levels and start feeling better right away. To revitalize after a sleepless night, one treatment may be enough. For long-term improvements in your skin’s appearance and glow, or for optimal immunity during cold and flu season, we typically recommend coming in every week or two for a few months.
