Being that I am a proud daughter of a military veteran, let me start by saying thank you to all who have served and are currently serving our country. For your sacrifice and commitment, know that you are appreciated and loved.

In honor of Veterans Day, here is a list of deals offered to you — whether you are looking family restaurants, fast food, or something light. Or maybe you’re just wanting to enjoy a nice breakfast or catch a nice breeze on the patio. There is something for you to enjoy on your own or with the family.

Not sure, or still have questions? Call ahead and speak with establishment to verify promotions and eligibility. Bring proof of identification with you, and keep establishment discretion in mind. Coming from a former server, please be mindful of servers and the establishments. These servers really do thank you and appreciate your service.

Corner Bakery Cafe — Veterans and active duty military can choose any two select items on November 11.

Dunkin’ Donuts — Free donuts nationwide . . . and no purchase necessary!

IHOP — Active duty and retired veterans can come and enjoy free red, white, and blue pancakes on November 10.

Krispy Kreme — This chain is offering free donuts and a small coffee to anyone who identifies as a veteran or active military member. (No ID is required; subject to change.)

Mimi’s Cafe — With a drink purchase, veterans and active duty may have a special select menu item for free. 

Starbucks — Veterans, active military, and spouses enjoy a free 12-ounce hot brewed coffee on Veterans Day. Give a special veterans Starbucks electronic gift card, and Starbucks will donate $5 to veterans’ organizations!

Chuck E. Cheese’s — Let the kids run free and collect as many tickets as they can. Chuck E. Cheese’s is offering free individual one-topping pizzas on November 11 to all active duty and retired military members.

IKEA — Whether you’re furniture shopping or just browsing, IKEA offers a free entree while you’re in-store. (Must show military ID.)

Main Event — Do you like to bowl or play arcade games? Claim a $10 “FUNcard” until noon — including free shoe rentals for up to four guests!

Applebee’s — Limited menu, but a good thing about this establishment is that it is open until 2:00 a.m. every day. All veterans and active duty military members will be offered a free meal from a select menu.

Chili’s Grill & Bar — All veterans and active duty military personnel can choose a complimentary meal from a select menu on Veterans Day.

Luna Grill — Starting Saturday, November 10 through Monday, November 12, Luna Grill will offer a buy one signature plate, wrap or salad, get one free for all veterans and active military with valid ID. 

Olive Garden — Soup, salad . . . and don’t forget the bread sticks. This restaurant will offer a free entree from a special menu to active-duty military and veterans.

On The Border — What’s better than a create-your-own combo menu with the option to choose two or three? This offer is for all veterans and active duty.

Red Hot & Blue Restaurants — Veterans, active duty, retirees, and reservists receive a free entree when purchasing a second entree of equal or greater value. (Maximum $10; dine in only.)

Red Robin — Veterans and active duty military get a free dine-in Red’s tavern double burger and bottomless steak fries on November 11.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill — This restaurant is offering a free mom’s ricotta meatballs and spaghetti entree on Veterans Day to veterans and active military.

Spaghetti Warehouse (Arlington) — Receive a special “buy one entree, get one free” coupon offer. Guests are encouraged to “invite a veteran to lunch or dinner.” Coupon can be found online by visiting its site.

Texas de Brazil — Make your reservations now! Up to two veterans or active duty military per party can enjoy a complimentary buffet — and 20 percent off for up to six additional guests — on November 11 or 12. (Must show ID.)

Texas Roadhouse — The joy of cinnamon butter, rolls, and peanuts. Select from a free special veterans lunch menu including beverage and sides. Texas Roadhouse offers a 10 percent discount for all military members.

Boston Market — Buy a meal and drink, and get one free (coupon offer).

Chipotle Mexican Grill — Attention all burrito lovers! Chipotle is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on tacos, burritos, salads, or bowls.

QuikTrip — Veterans and active duty personnel can grab a free self-serve fountain or hot drink on November 11.

Zoës Kitchen — Veterans, active duty, or retired military may enjoy a free entree. (Must show military ID.)

54th Street Grill & Bar — With a nice draft selection and appetizers, all veterans can claim a free meal up to $12 with proof of service/identification.

Bar Louie — Buffalo chicken flatbread or a burger to all veterans and active duty members on Veterans Day.

Buffalo Wild Wings — What’s better, boneless or traditional? B-Dubs is offering a free small order of boneless or traditional wings with a side of fries. Just in time to try the seasonal flavor, BBQ pumpkin ale sauce.

Fox & Hound (Fort Worth & Arlington) — Ready to play a game of pool or darts? Enjoy a full menu and a nice beer selection for your free meal on Veterans Day (when you show your military ID).

Hooters — All veteran wing lovers and current servicemen and women are invited for a free Veterans Day meal from select menu options. Enjoy some college football on one of the many TVs. 

Hopdoddy Burger Bar — Burgers, shakes, and cocktails. Where there is a line almost every time out the door, you’ll find any burger imaginable, just the way you like it. Hopdoddy is offering a free burger to military veterans on November 11.

Twin Peaks — Calling all veterans, reservists, and active duty military. Head over to Twin Peaks restaurants and enjoy a select menu created just for you to eat for free.

World of Beer — Whether you’re interested in Martin House Salty Lady or an ice cold Miller Lite, on November 11, World of Beer is offering a free draught or $5 off your bill. Servicing all veterans and current active duty!

    Looks like I just missed you in time for your Veterans Day roundup story….That said, I have a great deal in DFW I wanted to throw in the hopper, and see if you’d be interested in updating your story.

    This Veterans Day, Goodyear Auto Service locations throughout DFW are showing thanks and appreciation to those who serve by offering all active and retired military members and first responders FREE “Checks for Vets,” plus up to $250 off tires.

    Effective Nov. 9-11, “Checks for Vets” includes FREE tire, brake and battery checks. Military and first responders will also receive 10 percent off tires instantly, which means $250 in savings when used with additional offers in-store. Appointments can be booked beginning Nov. 9, but may redeemed through Nov. 16.
