Late nights with the little one mean I have been pulling for #teamcoffee more and more lately, but in my heart-of-hearts, I will always love tea. Anyone who knows me personally knows I am a tea enthusiast who gets excited when people say, “I drink tea.”
So a while ago, I started a personal quest to find some of the best tea spots in Fort Worth where I could catch up on some “me-time,” meet up with friends, or invite new contacts to grab a cuppa (tea). While there are many places to order hot water and select a tea bag, I was looking for tea shops that had a wide selection of teas and/or a tea offering that I found particularly spectacular. Finally, I was also looking for aura — a place that provided a warm and inviting environment.
Here are my top six places to go in Fort Worth when I need a little tea time.

Warm Environment with a Wide Selection
Leaves Book and Tea Shop (120 St. Louis Avenue #101). Come ready for some quality time here, poring over the wide selection of books to enjoy with your tea. Leaves Book and Tea Shop is a great place to hang out or bring the kiddos, with plenty of seating and places to spread out. Some of my favorites are the ginger chamomile tea and the sparking tea on tap. Pair your favorite tea combination with their collection of snack boxes from Meyer & Sage and/or a treat from Stir Crazy Baked Goods.
World Blend (5410 Basswood Boulevard). World Blend is the perfect place to meet up in north Fort Worth. I love stopping here when I am in the area or need a break from I-35W traffic. With a wide selection of specialty coffee and tea blends, you will not be disappointed. The shop also has a shipping center inside, so it is a perfect spot to write letters, postcards, and thank-you notes — while sipping some tea — ship, and then and go on your merry way. Check out its community events as well!

Afternoon Tea Shops / High Tea
The Ashton (610 Main Street). For an upscale afternoon tea experience, The Ashton Hotel provides a carefully-curated afternoon tea that is truly the only one of its kind in Fort Worth. Afternoon tea guests also enjoy complimentary valet to make your visit to this historic boutique hotel simply seamless. Feel free to bring your little ones along as well. When I made my reservation, I informed the staff I would have a five-month-old baby with me, and they reserved the perfect cozy spot for my little one to nap and enjoy the scenery. My favorite time to visit The Ashton is for their holiday tea, which is sure to get you into the festive spirit.
The Rose Garden Tearoom (7200 Camp Bowie Boulevard). For a more more intimate, laidback experience, head to The Rose Garden Tearoom. Located in the Montgomery Antique Mall, you will enjoy some social time tasting delicious gourmet scones, tea sandwiches, treats, and iced or hot tea. Then, stroll around the mall for unique finds. This place is a favorite outing for my sister and me, and my family hosted our own Mother’s Day tea some years ago that was perfect.

Spectacular Tea Selections & Lattes
Brewed (801 West Magnolia Avenue). Brewed is a Fort Worth favorite for so many reasons. From the delicious all-day breakfast (I love the chicken and waffles!) to beautiful ambiance, this place also has some of the best specialty drinks and teas. My ultimate favorite is the earl grey-infused “London Fog” latte. If you are a tea latte lover, this comfort drink never disappoints!
Craftwork Coffee Co. (4731 Camp Bowie Boulevard, 11121 West Magnolia Avenue, and 2700 Weisenberger Street). Need a hip and professional place to get some work done? Head to Craftwork Coffee Co. to sip, plan, and innovate. At each of its three locations in Fort Worth, this coffee shop/workspace combo allows you to not only hang out in the cafe area, but also to reserve a conference room/meeting area to have a more formal space to meet and get work done. Perfect for planning new projects and conspiring on fun events and activities. My favorite drink in the coffee shop is the chai tea latte with almond milk.
