Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo — Times vary daily. // You’ve got to plan a day (or two, or three) at THE iconic event in all of Cowtown. There is fun for the whole family (so much that we had to put it all in its own blog post), from interactive events to live music, and from great food to shopping.

Jurassic Parts: A Family Concert — 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. // Learn and laugh as the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra performs a unique and kid-friendly concert. Complete with the humorous research of a “paleo-musicologist,” this one-day-only concert at the Bass Performance Hall answers the question, “What if modern instruments descended from giant, dinosaur-like creatures you can’t begin to imagine?”

Drawing from the Collection for Children — 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. // The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth offers two sessions of this FREE program (one for kids aged five to eight, and one for kids aged nine to 12), led by an artist who guides participants through informal drawing exercises related to the museum’s galleries. Arrive early and sign up at the information desk for the session you want, and be sure to bring your sketchbook and pencils!

Making Connections South Tarrant Disability Resource Fair — 9:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m. // This kid-friendly fair brings community disability resources to one, easily accessed location for families and caregivers. New this year are a workshop specifically for siblings (ages eight through 13) of children with a disability and a DIY activity for children of all abilities (ages five through 13).
The Incredible Bubble Show — 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. // Explore the magic of using water for bubble making at this interactive show at the George W. Hawkes downtown Arlington library.
