What’s so special about the emergency hospital in your neighborhood– the one with the familiar blue-and-yellow logo and the new name? We’ll put it in terms that speak to any mama making a decision in a time of crisis: Full service and shorter waits. Yes, for real!

Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospital

New Name, Same Great Care

Formerly known as Baylor Emergency Medical Centers, eight facilities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area recently rebranded to Baylor Scott & White Emergency Hospitals (BSWEH).

With so many locations in the metroplex (Aubrey, Burleson, Colleyville, Grand Prairie, Keller, Mansfield, Murphy, and Rockwall), there is bound to be one in your neck of the woods. There, you’ll find all the services you expect from a fully licensed emergency hospital in a small setting — without having to commute to the busy hospital district.

Convenience in Times of Crisis

We all know the frustrating scenario. Your spouse took a fall that, while not serious enough to warrant a 911 call, requires more urgent attention than a long wait to see the doctor. Or a case of the sniffles turns bad after hours (is it the flu, strep throat, or hand, foot, and mouth disease?), and you’re looking at a long night ahead with no answers.

It might relieve you to know BSWEH facilities are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year! With an average wait time of less than 15 minutes (not even a full episode of Paw Patrol), you know a medical professional will see you or your loved one quickly.

Pro tip: Take advantage of the online check-in service before you even leave home; log your estimated arrival time to expedite the check-in process!

Baylor Scott & White Inpatient RoomYes, They Do That Too!

Unlike free-standing emergency rooms and urgent care centers, BSWEH facilities are equipped to provide comprehensive, quality care for adult and pediatric major and minor medical emergencies. (Learn more about the advanced emergency care at www.BSWEH.org.)

BSWEH capabilities include CT scanning, digital X-ray, ultrasound imaging, and COLA-certified laboratory. These laboratory and imaging services are on-site, meaning patients receive same-day test results. And if your treatment requires extended observation, overnight inpatient care with dietary services is available in spacious private and semi-private rooms.

As part of Baylor Scott & White Health (BSW Health), BSWEH is in-network with most major medical insurance providers — meaning your services are most likely covered. Of course, you should check with your insurance carrier to be sure.
