Building community among mothers is an important part of Fort Worth Moms. I mean, it says so right there in our mission statement: Fort Worth Moms exists to provide resources, encouragement, and community to parents in the Tarrant County area through its website, original content, social media platforms, events, sponsorship partners, and Neighbor Groups.

Our Neighbor Groups initiative is a vital part of us living out that mission. But it’s a strange one . . . well, strange in the sense that it’s weird for a publishing group to create and nurture groups so moms can meet, make friends, and encourage each other. That’s out of the ordinary, right? Yet, it is so much part of our mission, our purpose, it just makes sense.

While we can provide online resources, stories of encouragement and solidarity, and information, that publishing medium alone doesn’t serve as the connector of women. We want mothers to feel less alone, less isolated — and that is true now more than ever!

Thus, we are looking for women who are the connectors. Black moms. White moms. Brown moms. Single moms. Married moms. Women who are comfortable building community in a digital space. Who aren’t afraid to jump right in there and start a discussion, to cheer for other moms, and to say “I know what you mean!”

Join the Fort Worth Moms Neighbo Group leader community teamWe are looking for a diverse group of women who can serve other moms in the Neighbor Group leader role. Right now, we are looking for women to take leadership of these regional and topical groups:
