Black Girl Magic Pop Up Museum // The Black Girl Magic Pop Up Museum is an interactive museum to pay homage and honor the contribution that black women have had. The museum has more than eight interactive Instagram-worthy photo-ops. Come and enjoy melanin boxes, the Black Girl Magic Room, melanin room, Say Her Name Room, I Am Not My Hair room, and so much more.
Kinder Prep 101 Spanish at Central Library // Kinder Prep 101 is a supportive, engaging program designed to help parents and caregivers prepare children for kindergarten. This 10-week online program will go over topics such as the different stages children learn, types of schools and programs, classroom setup, and introductions to math, science, reading and writing.
Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects Made with LEGO Bricks at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden // This award-winning and record-breaking exhibition uses beautiful works of art made from toy blocks to explore animal endangerment, the balance of ecosystems, and humanity’s relationship with nature.
All Month {Virtual}
Rockin’ the River // Every Saturday from July 3 through August 7, listen to live music along the Trinity River. You can tube, paddle board, or kayak during the event, and food trucks provide good eats.
Texas Nature Traders // The Fort Worth Zoo offers this program that encourages kids (age 3 and older) to explore the outdoors and bring to the building fossils, rocks, bones, plants and other artifacts in exchange for points. Traders can redeem points (or save them for future use) for items in the Nature Trader inventory.

Twelve Mighty Orphans — Behind the Scenes // The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame presents an exhibition featuring photographs and props from 2019 Cowgirl Hall of Fame Honoree Laura Wilson’s motion picture, 12 Mighty Orphans.

Back 2 School for Veterans // Attend this back-to-school event for veterans and families and receive backpacks, school supplies and giveaways.

Back to School Drive-Thru // This event gives away 100 school supplies including backpacks and gift cards. This is a registered, first come-first served event in at the Highland Hills Recreation Center.

Virtual Toddler Studio :: Meet the Welcomers // Tune in for a fun conversation with the museum’s visitor experience associate and a gallery associate, two of the first people you meet when you visit the Carter. Say hello, make some art as a family, and play pretend with your newest friends! Download an activity sheet for DIY fun.

FWISD Tax-Free Weekend // This back-to-school-event for families provides resource for families so students have what they need for the upcoming school year. The event includes online registration assistance, merchant coupons, back-to-school and book giveaways, a fashion show, and more.

Back to School Paint and Play // At Play Street Museum, children can paint a mason jar pencil holder for their teacher’s desk that resembles a piece of notebook paper, pencil, composition notebook, or apple. Admission comes with one jar, additional mason jars can be purchased for $12 at the event.

Summer Flicks at The Museum of Modern Art // Take a break from the Texas heat for Modern Kids—Summer Flicks! Family Sunset Hike at the River Legacy Living Science Center // Enjoy a guided sunset hike with the family led by a naturalist. Explore the park for native plants and wildlife you may not seeing during the day.

Fort Worth Zoo’s Virtual Programs // Whether you are learning at home or in the classroom, would like to offer a fun virtual experience for employees or residents, or you just miss the Fort Worth Zoo, it is ready to bring the animals to you. Connect with the animals through your choice of virtual programs, starting at $25. Zoo members save 10 percent during registration.
Virtual Story Times // North Richland Hills Library hosts virtual story times every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. on its Facebook page. After the reading, the video will be available on its YouTube channel and the library’s website.
Yogin’s Karma Bookclub // Karma Yoga in Denton is starting a free community yoga bookclub to learn more about the practice of yoga and how to transform our lives off the mat and see how the words impact not only us, but our fellow yogis. Learn more HERE.
Virtual Nurturing Parent Group // Hosted by My Health My Resources of Tarrant County, the virtual nurturing parent group is “a family-centered trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to other forms of parenting and child-rearing practices. This is a great group for any and all parents wanting to learn about parenting for any child.” Meetings happen every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Learn more here.

The Kimbell Art Museum’s Kimbell At Home program // Experience the Kimbell from home. Explore the collection, download family art activities, and take an audio tour.
Virtual Wednesday Walks // Join the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge for a virtual walk on the trails. Every Wednesday, it will pick a trail, hike, and see what is along the trail in the form of plants and animals. This is a great way to catch up and for you to see what is available on the trails. It will continue these virtual walks while it is closed for the public. Hike starts at 10:00 a.m. and the end time is not definitive. Typical hike will be an hour at the most.
