Fort Worth Moms Supports These Nonprofits — and You Can, Too!

12 non-profits to support in Fort Worth and Tarrant CountyFort Worth Moms (FWM) selected 12 nonprofit organizations making a difference in the lives of local women and their children. During the next 12 months, FWM will support these charities in a variety of ways. These organizations are the hands and feet of our community, and it is a joy to come alongside them in their missions for area families.

Now, you, our readers, will also have the opportunity to take part in all the great things happening in Tarrant County! Read more below to find a nonprofit that can support you and one that you can support.

ACH Child and Family Services :: ACH offers a wide range of services for families and at-risk youth, as well as foster care, free counseling, and a youth emergency shelter. ACH works to protect children from abuse, neglect, and family separation and help them heal when those tragedies do happen.

Alliance for Children :: This organization works together with law enforcement and other agencies to prevent child abuse and also works to bring healing to child abuse victims.

Center for Transforming Lives :: Working through a variety of services, programs, and classes, the Center for Transforming Lives “builds cycles of financial and emotional well-being, working side-by-side with women and their children to disrupt the cycle of poverty and homelessness.”

Community Link :: Northwest Tarrant County is better and less hungry thanks to Community Link. It provides food and personal care items — along with other support services — to those living in the 178 miles it serves.

Fort Worth Pregnancy Center :: From pregnancy and parenting options to medical support to parenting classes and more, Fort Worth Pregnancy Center is a judgment-free and no cost option as you make decisions for your next steps.

HopeKids North Texas :: This local chapter of HopeKids provides resources, support, and hope for children and their families dealing with life-threatening pediatric medical conditions.

Ladder Alliance :: Its missions is simple: Provide domestic abuse or poverty survivors with the tools they need to lead independent, successful lives.

MHMR of Tarrant County :: Parenting is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. MHMR Tarrant County provides resources and support for babies, children, youth, and adults with developmental delays, intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as youth and adults with behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas :: This incredible organization provides donor human milk to infants in the NICU and to other families in need as well as lactation support.

One Safe Place :: Its multi-faceted programs works to prevent crime in our community, schools, and homes.

Project 4031 :: Supporting terminally-ill children and adults, Project 4031 provides financial assistance and fulfills last dreams during the end-of-life days for these families.

The Women’s Center :: Through rape crisis and victim services, violence education and prevention, employment solutions and general counseling services, the Women’s Center helps men, women, and children overcome violence, poverty, and crisis.
