Texas Pinners Conference // This conference features 100+ Pinterest-based classes taught by the best presenters in the nation. Two hundred of the top businesses provide incredible options in the worlds of DIY, crafts, cooking, self-improvement, photography, party planning, scrapbooking, holiday, beauty, fashion, and more! 

October 1, 2, 3

Ramblin’ Roads Music Fest // Three days celebrating live music, including rock, country, Americana, blues, jazz, and Latin.

October 2

Toddler Studio :: Dress Up Day at Amon Carter Museum of American Art // Zip zippers, tie ribbons, and play dress-up with family and friends, inspired by paintings and historical costumes in Imagined Realism: Scott and Stuart Gentling.

Monarch Migration Festival at Fort Worth Botanic Gardens // This event is fun for the whole family, including a free gift for completing a full “migration,” learning about butterfly metamorphosis, talking to butterfly and plant experts, seeing examples of milkweeds and other pollinator-friendly plants, and receiving free native wildflower seeds.

October 5

Pictures and Pages workshop at Kimball Art Museum // Find a comfy spot and prepare to travel to another world. Join the museum on Facebook Live for a theatrical story time presented in English and Spanish — just for kids!

October 6

The Vaquero Gathering at Fort Worth Historic Stockyards // Visit the Fort Worth Stockyards for the American Paint Horse Association’s inaugural annual Vaquero Gathering to celebrate and pay homage to the vaquero. Attend three vaquero performances that showcase the history, horsemanship, culture, and tradition of the early Texas cowboy and charros in the legendary Cowtown Coliseum.

October 9

Gold Over America Tour, presented by Athleta // Held in Dickies Arena, this gymnastic event stars Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and a team of all-star gymnasts. This event celebrates powerful female athletes who proudly representing the sport of women’s gymnastics, inspiring the next generation of female athletes.

Texas Pinners Conference // This fun-filled event brings Pinterest to life with 250 shopping booths and more than 100 hands-on classes taught by experts in DIY, home decor, beauty, baking, cooking, crafting, self-help, and more. 

River Legacy Fall Festival // This event is an annual fundraiser to support environmental education at River Legacy Living Science Center and River Legacy Park. It combines the best of After Dark in the Park and the City’s Eco-Fest through games, crafts, and activities.

October 9 & 10

Fort Worth Opera // For Fort Worth Opera’s 75th season, families can attend the production “Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World.” Great for audiences ages kindergarten through 5th grade.

October 10

Hidden Gardens of Fort Worth // Tour five private gardens in Fort Worth’s historic and charming Westover Hills Neighborhood. With gardens of all sizes, this year’s tour will provide inspiration for all who attend.

October 15

Story time at River Legacy // Enjoy this free, outdoor story time at River Legacy Nature Center in partnership with Arlington Public Library. Listen to two themed stories and will get to meet animal ambassadors, like opossums, snakes, and turtles.

October 16

Itty Bitty Art :: Touch & Feel // The museum explores textures of all kinds, from rough rocks to soft fabrics, as it looks and learns with paintings in Imagined Realism: Scott and Stuart Gentling.

October 23 and 30

Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio // Teens can participate in the museum’s class, Ancient to Modern Sketching Adventures studio class. 

October 29, 30, 31

Boo at the Zoo // Enjoy treat stations, themed entertainment, animal shows and more. This festive daytime event is free with zoo admission or membership and packed with fun for the whole family.  

October 31

Food Truck at Clark Gardens // Limoges Coffee will be serving up delicious coffee while visitors stroll and visit the gardens.
