Just like flowers are bursting out of the ground, Fort Worth Moms is bursting to get out and about our wonderful city! Freezes are a thing of the past (fingers crossed), and it’s time to start exploring the diverse, beautiful bouquet of events Fort Worth has to offer.

February 1 – March 11 // Children’s Education Program :: Celebrate Black History Month // Bass Performance Hall // All through streaming, revisit the inspiring stories of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall and Texas pilot Bessie Coleman. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz.

March 1 – 6 // The Choir of Man // Casa Mañana // The Choir of Man is the runaway hit of the international music and theater scene from the creative minds of Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay – the team behind Gobsmacked!, The Magnets and the Soweto Gospel Choir. This show is 80 minutes of unadulterated entertainment that combines high energy dance, live music and foot stomping choreography with the incredible talent of nine ordinary guys who perform everything from sing-along classics to classic rock.

March 3 // Taste of Fort Worth at Clearfork // Taste Fort Worth is a dining experience that brings people together to connect as a community. This traveling culinary event gives patrons an appreciation of unique districts throughout Fort Worth and showcases a wide variety of restaurant experiences. $125 per individual ticket, $1,250 for table of 10.

March 4 // Lone Star Brahmas vs. New Mexico Ice Wolves // NYTEX Sports Centre // Root for the Lone Star Brahmas hockey team as they compete against the New Mexico Ice Wolves. 

March 4 // Pull for Kids Clay Shoot // Defender Outdoors Shooting Center // Calling all sharp shooters! You can change a child’s life and hit your target at the 6th Annual CASA Pull For Kids Clay Shoot.

March 5 // Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio // Kimbell Art Museum // This free program introduces children ages 12 and younger to cool and inspiring ways to enjoy art through gallery explorations and art projects.

March 5 // Lone Star Brahmas vs. New Mexico Ice Wolves // NYTEX Sports Centre // Root for the Lone Star Brahmas hockey team as they compete against the New Mexico Ice Wolves. 

March 5 // Mardi Gras Celebration! // Fort Worth Public Library // Join the festivities at the Central Library and the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA. There will be food trucks, a masquerade mask decorating contest, a King Cupcake walk, and other fun games and crafts for those of all ages to enjoy.

March 7 – 13 // AAC Basketball Championships // Dickie’s Arena // For the second straight year, The American’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will be contested at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The Women’s Championship will run March 7-10, while the Men’s Championship is set to take place March 10-13.

March 8 // America the Beautiful // Bass Performance Hall // This free concert features the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus as they perform “America the Beautiful,” a celebration of our nation. Tickets are free, but reservations are required.

March 11 // Panther City Lacrosse Club vs. Colorado Mammoth // Dickie’s Arena // Watch Fort Worth’s own Panther City Lacrosse Club take on the Calorado Mammoth at the beautiful Dickie’s Arena. Ticket prices vary. 

March 12 // Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio // Kimbell Art Museum // This free program introduces children ages 12 and younger to cool and inspiring ways to enjoy art through gallery explorations and art projects. 

March 12 // Tarrant Regional Water District’s Flyfest // Trinity River // Tarrant Regional Water District’s trout stocking season culminates with TRWD Flyfest, a celebration of urban fishing on the Trinity River. TRWD will release 1,800 pounds of rainbow trout in addition to the nearly 3,000 Texas native fish stocked annually.

March 12 – 13 // Funky Finds Spring Fling // Will Rogers Memorial Center // The 14th Annual Funky Finds Spring Fling is a free, family and pet-friendly market featuring the funkiest area makers and pickers. It includes swag bags, charitable raffle, fundraising benefiting Saving Hope Animal Rescue and CASA of Tarrant County, and much more!

Go on a hike to learn about the bees (and wasps!) that provide for us and how you can give them a hand. Pre-registration required. $5 (with paid admission), members are free.

March 25 // Tents and Tales // River Legacy Living Science Center // Camp out at River Legacy Park! Make sure to pack your tents and sleeping bags, and get ready for dinner, a movie under the stars, sleeping bag story time, animal exploration, and more! This year’s movie will be The Croods: A New Age, rated PG.
