Where to Thrift and Consign Your Stuff in Tarrant County

Lucky for those of us who inhabit North Texas, there is no shortage of places to consign and thrift your stuff. Some are clothing-only, some are furniture-only, and some are a lovely mix of the two.

Shop and sell your clothes secondhand to save money.Buying secondhand is good not just for our wallets — those kids never stop growing! — but also for the environment, too. Many thrift and consignment stores benefit local charities and they help keep money in our communities as well.

While thrifting at your city’s Goodwill or Salvation Army is sure to merit some gems, if you’re looking for something a little more “local,” here’s a list of spots.

Arlington

Arlington Resale/Arlington Resale Too/Arlington Resale3: With three locations, this thrift store benefits the Metroplex Women’s Clinic. Donation only.

Best Little Resale Shop: This thrift store boasts clothes, toys, housewares, collectibles, and other knick knacks, and has regular 25 to 50 percent off sales throughout the year.

Clothes Mentor: With several locations throughout the metroplex, Clothes Mentor buys and sells gently used designer clothing, handbags, accessories, and shoes.

Collins Park Thrift: A standard, massive thrift shop offering a wide variety of clothing, shoes, housewares, and more.

Half of Half: With new discount deals every Wednesday, this thrift store boasts prices that are “half of half” of what you’d pay at the mall. There are two locations in Arlington

Kid to Kid: A child-centric consignment store where you can find gently worn clothes for babies to teens, in addition to shoes, toys, books, and baby gear. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated. There also are locations in Bedford, Fort Worth, and Keller.

Little Giggles Kids Resale: Another buy and sell children’s consignment store with clothing (up to size 16), toys, baby gear, furniture, and maternity clothing. 

Plato’s Closet: The older sibling to Once Upon A Child, this store buys and sells gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories, and is geared toward the tween to teen demographic. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated.

Rerun Consignment Boutique: A buy-and-sell store that specializes in women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories by designer labels.

Texas Thrift: Past customers have reported (via Yelp reviews) that this mega thrift store is great for clothing but not too much in the way of housewares and furniture. Weekly discounts include 30 percent off for seniors (55+) on Tuesdays and active duty military veterans on Wednesdays. There are multiple locations throughout the metroplex.

Thrift King Resale Shop: While Thrift King offers what most other resale shops do (clothing, housewares, etc.), it also has a sizable used furniture section. Previous shoppers say the store is very clean and well-organized.

Uptown Cheapskate: A consignment store with on-trend clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories for adult men and women. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated.

Visit and consign your clothes in these Fort Worth area secondhand stores.Bedford

Beacon House Resale at Martin United Methodist Church: Beacon House is a faith-based, donation-only resale shop founded by the Martin United Methodist Church. All proceeds go to help families in need through the Helping Hands ministry.

Coat of Many Colors: A donation-only thrift store that benefits Mission Central, it’s great for quality vintage finds, clothing, and other household wares. Special deals: Seniors (55+) receive 10 percent off purchases on Wednesdays; Active military and veterans receive 10 percent off on Thursdays. 

La Casa Retro: If you’re looking for mid-century vintage wares or vinyl records, look no further than La Casa Retro. It’s open seven days a week and if you can’t make it into the store, you can always shop the Etsy store.

Colleyville

Furniture Consignment Gallery: If you’re looking for a variety of gently used furniture, this is your stop. There’s a wide variety of items at various price points and you can see photos of offerings online before you go.

Once Upon A Child: A consignment store for children’s clothing, shoes, accessories, costumes, books, toys, and gear. 

Euless

GRACEful Buys Euless: A traditional thrift store with clothing, housewares, home decor, shoes, and more for the whole family. 

Plato’s Closet: The older sibling to Once Upon A Child, this store buys and sells gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories, and is geared toward the tween to teen demographic. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated. 

Twice Blessed Resale Boutique: This store houses a wide variety of gently used clothing, furniture, and housewares. Proceeds benefit North East Emergency Distribution (N.E.E.D.), a Tarrant County faith-based non-profit that provides short-term emergency assistance in the form of food, clothing, TXU payments, and bus vouchers.

Fort Worth 

Berry Good Buys Resale: Owned and operated by SafeHaven (which provides services for victims of domestic violence in Tarrant County), Berry Good Buys is donation-based. Clients are able to shop at no cost but the general public can shop and know their money is going toward a good cause.

Clothes Mentor: With several locations throughout the metroplex, Clothes Mentor buys and sells gently used designer clothing, handbags, accessories, and shoes. There are two locations in Fort Worth.

Dr. Deals Resale Mall: A large thrift store with quality new and used goods. It keeps its Facebook page updated with new inventory each week.

Family Thrift Outlet: A standard, massive thrift shop offering a wide variety of clothing, shoes, housewares, and more. There are two locations in Fort Worth. 

Feminine Fashions Consignment Boutique: A strip-mall boutique that offers secondhand designer apparel and accessories for women.

Haltom Thrift: Donation-based thrift store, great for clothing (women’s in particular) with 50 percent off sales throughout the month and daily colored tag deals.

Kid to Kid: Sell your kids’ old stuff and get store credit or cash to buy them new stuff. Grapevine

Angels Attic Upscale Resale: A volunteer-run non-profit ministry of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church that supports local and global charities. It has a variety of items from furniture to clothing to housewares to shoes and books. Donation only.

Grapevine Antique Market: A market with more than 150 dealers and sellers of high-quality antiques, home decor, collectibles, vinyl records, a guitar shop, and more. The market also has a tea room and bistro.

Kiss It Good Buy: A large resale store with an eclectic mix of furniture and decor.

Haltom City

Haltom Thrift: Donation-based thrift store, great for clothing (women’s in particular) with 50 percent off sales throughout the month and daily colored tag deals.

Hurst

Kelly’s Kloset Consignment Boutique: A “shabby chic” boutique that buys and sells trendy women’s clothing and accessories, and home decor. Don’t miss its Facebook Live sales each week, modeled by Kelly herself.

Texas Thrift: Past customers have reported (via Yelp reviews) that this mega thrift store is great for clothing but not too much in the way of housewares and furniture. Weekly discounts include 30 percent off for seniors (55+) on Tuesdays and active duty military veterans on Wednesdays. There’s also locations in Arlington and Irving.

Thrift for Good: A donation-based thrift store which allows donors to choose a charity to receive 25 percent of the proceeds from the sale of their donation. Thrift for Good also aims to use technology to help deal with the inundation of used goods in the economy, something that hasn’t been done before.

Keller

Bearly Used: This thrift store’s proceeds benefit Christ’s Haven for Children in Keller. You’ll find an assortment of clothing, housewares, children’s items, electronics, and more. Donation only.

Mansfield Mission Center Thrift Store: This thrift store sells gently used clothes, books, housewares, furniture, appliances, and more. It’s on the only thrift store in the area whose proceeds benefit Mansfield ISD families exclusively.

Uptown Cheapskate: A consignment store with on-trend clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories for adult men and women. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated.

Vintage Vibe: Not your traditional thrift shop, Vintage Vibe offers a mix of old and new home decor, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and more. It regularly posts new items and inventory on its Facebook page.

Shop secondhand consigned clothes for your family.North Richland Hills

Uptown Cheapskate: A consignment store with on-trend clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories for adult men and women. Multiple locations throughout the metroplex, each locally owned and operated.
