There’s nothing like a fresh-baked pie. With its perfectly browned crust and gooey center, it’s essentially fact that pies are good for the soul.

Lucky for us, Tarrant County has some pretty amazing spots to grab a slice.

Breadhaus is the place to go in Grapevine for homemade bread and rolls for any dinner occasion, but it also has a wonderful selection of pies and other sweets to round out the meal. The pumpkin pie is sure to become your next holiday staple!

Buttermilk Pie has two locations in Tarrant County: Colleyville and Arlington! This local favorite has traditional nine-inch pies as well as minis, perfect for treating yourself or giving as a gift! 

Best pies in Fort Worth

Emporium Pies out of Dallas recently made its Fort Worth debut and was an instant hit. It’s described as a “pie lovers dream,” and with fun flavors like Father Christmas, the Drunken Nut, and Smooth Operator, we can see why. It will take us many visits back to try all the flavors and recommend a favorite, but we’re up for it in the name of research! 

He Sets the Table Catering is not your typical pie shop but makes our list for its delicious flavors and pies that look like they are a work of art! The beautifully made pies are sure to be a show stopper at your next dinner.

Judy Pie is located on historic Main Street in Grapevine and has all of your favorite flavors from sweet chocolate to savory chicken pot pie, and even treats for your pups! My personal favorite is the blueberry! 

Oak Street Pie in Roanoke can be found in a quaint historic building. It has become well known for its meringues and German chocolate pecan pies, but non-pie lovers can delight in the fudge, brownies, and other sweet treats! 

Paris Coffee Shop is a well-known staple in Forth Worth and is fresh off a renovation for 2022. Its pies have won national awards, but it’s also well known for their breakfast dishes. Our vote? Pair a cup of fresh brewed coffee with a slice of pie and call it breakfast! We won’t tell!

Real Texas Cafe is a southern comfort food restaurant located in Euless well known for its chicken-fried steak and grandma’s meatloaf recipe. Yet few can resist the temptation of the homemade pies on display in the cooler. We dare you to try to have a meal and leave without dessert. 

Stir Crazy Baked Goods off Magnolia in Fort Worth is just as sweet in its overall atmosphere as it is in pie flavors! It has a wide selection of staples that are available year-round plus other flavors that are seasonal. Run — don’t walk — to get your hands on a slice of the Mint chocolate chess pie!

Texas Harvest Pie Company in Keller is well known for its delicious crust made from a secret family recipe! The extensive menu doesn’t just stop at lemon meringue and fresh strawberry but includes a variety of sweet treats, quiches, and pot pies.

There are so many great locations in Tarrant County to enjoy a slice and an endless amount of flavors. I think this writer may be celebrating this baked good more than once a year to get to all of them!
