September 3 // Wild Acre Luau and Vendor Market // Wandering Roots Markets is excited to bring the local vendors to Wild Acre’s annual Luau for the second year in a row!
September 4 // Plantopia! // This is a celebration of all things plants! There will be a curated selection of plant vendors highlighting rare and common houseplants, carnivorous plants, plant accessories and more! There will also be plant trivia at the top of every hour and plant-based snacks to enjoy!
September 9 // Summer Scorcher // The Summer Scorcher is a charity doubles tournament benefiting the NICU at Cook Children’s. But it’s more than just a tournament, it’s a weekend filled with tennis, a silent auction, on-site vendors and more. This year, it hopes to surpass the $100,000 donation mark.
September 10 // September Sidewalk Shop // Hosted by Carve and Cask, this event in Aledo features vendors from home decor, handmade soaps, woodworks, baked goods and so much more!
September 10 // “Fall” in Love Adoption Event // Are you ready to “fall” in love with an adoptable dog from Fort Worth Animal Care & Control? Head to The Radler for a day of fun! Come meet adoptable dogs and learn more about how you can support your local shelter all while enjoying great food and drinks!
September 10 // Fort Worth Margarita Festival // This event may not be kid-friendly (it’s for 21 years and older), but proceeds do benefit a children’s charity — the The Alexiam Foundation Benefiting Children’s Charities. Taste a wide variety of margaritas and eat scrumptious food.
September 10 // Azle Spring Sting // The Azle Sting Fling Festival is an annual event hosted by the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce. It is the largest community event held in Azle hosting thousands of guests during the one-day festival. It provides affordable, wholesome family entertainment to the citizens of Azle and surrounding communities.
September 10 // W.A.T.E.R. Festival // Join us for our W.A.T.E.R. (Water Awareness Through Education & Recreation) Festival to celebrate the wonderful resource of water with a variety of experiences, crafts, and demonstrations during this free festival for the whole family!
September 11 // Climb for a Calling // This 6th Annual Stair Climb on September 11th is open to all those individuals who want to pay tribute to and honor those who have given their lives in the line of duty whether they be veterans or first responders. This event not only honors our fallen but also helps raise money for those still in the fight.
September 12 // Monkey and Dogs Book Club // Monkey and Dogs Bookstore // Sixth through eighth graders are welcomed to this week’s book club, which looks at the book, Premeditated Myrtle, by Elizabeth C. Bunce.
September 16 // Movie Nights in Burnett Park // Grab a blanket or bring your own chairs and attend this free showing of Grease! Bites and beverages will be available for purchase in the park from Neighbor’s House Grocery.
September 17 // Fort Worth Trash Bash // For the past 30 years, TRWD has committed to engaging with the communities that surround its waterways to promote community organized cleanups. Over the years, thousands of community members have removed over 500 tons of garbage with one mission in mind: Protecting the natural resources that surround them.
September 18 // Mom’s Market // A modern farmer’s market catered toward families with more than 30 local vendors from medical services, art, food trucks, outdoor games, and more! Entry is free for the whole family! Activities include outdoor games, bounce house, ice cream truck, and check out local vendors and businesses.
September 18 // Lola’s Rock ‘n Roll Rummage Sale // Join Fort Worth’s longest running outdoor monthly market showcasing some of DFW’s best artists, creators & vintage collectors.
September 22 // Fort Worth Oktoberfest // Attend this celebration of German culture with the best in Bavarian food and entertainment. Spaten and other delicious Fall and Oktoberfest biers will be on tap. This year’s lineup includes Alex Meixner Band, Das Ist Lustig, Chardon Polka Band, Alpenmusikanten and Walburg Boys, just to name a few. Whether you want to kick back in the biergarten, shop in the marktstrass or test your skills at stein hoisting and bier barrel rolling, there is fun for everyone. Fort Worth Oktoberfest also hosts a 5k and 10k Run, 20-mile urban bike ride and carnival rides and games.
