Fashion + Beauty

It’s easy — too easy — for a mother to neglect her self care when it comes to beauty and fashion. Let this fashion + beauty category be a place where you stay in touch with local mamas about clothes, beauty products, and other related topics.

Fort Worth Moms publishes original, personal stories and advice from local moms, as well as relevant and fun information for those of us in the trenches of parenthood.

Every article published via Fort Worth Moms — whether someone from our in-house team, a guest writer, or a sponsored writer — uses their words to reflect their own opinions, experiences, and beliefs. No singular article or collection of articles represents the opinions, beliefs, or agenda of Fort Worth Moms.

Most moms want something they can move around in, feel cute in, and most of all, not be exposed in should a child see an opportunity to grab hold of said suit.
Don't we all want to be comfortable in our own skin? But doesn't it feel like such a struggle? I can't imagine many of us will reach a point where we're never uncomfortable with some detail about our bodies, but I think we can get closer. As a great start, let's stop disparaging physical signs of aging that we see around us.
Whether you’re looking for animal print or camo, embroidered dresses or chunky sweaters and tunics (to go with all those leggings, of course!), these boutiques have got you covered. And the best part of all: They are all online! So you don’t even have to leave your home to explore what is in stock. Happy shopping!
When we found out we were pregnant with a girl, our friends and family showered us with SO MANY BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES. It was an embarrassment of riches, really. But you know what? All of those clothes were for infants....
We then talked about how we would not be "one of those moms." We would keep our loooonnngggg free flowing locks. Now, here I am . . . 11-ish years later . . . with a baby napping in the other room . . . and super *short-to-me* hair. In fact, I chopped more than 10 inches off very soon after giving birth.
Layers and versatility are key to my wardrobe on days in that awkward transitional winter to spring period. There are five items that make a constant appearance in my day-to-day outfits. These items get me through the crazy days that make up the end of winter and beginning of spring.
Occasionally I scroll through Pinterest or Instagram to see what the cool kids are wearing. And here's what I am discovering: I will never be one of the cool kids. Maybe I never was. It's hard to tell. But just beyond the thousands of "I need Jesus and coffee" shirts on Instagram, there is a whole world of fashion/looking good/beauty tips that I don't understand.
