The grief + loss category exists to provide mothers with a place to find resources regarding this topic. Whether it’s the loss of a child, loss of a parent, or other sad situations, use grief + loss to help navigate tough times.

Losing a pet is so hard personally, and then add in the fact that you are the parent helping your children through this loss is a whole other layer of hard.

In a society that values perfection and pulled-togetherness, it can feel very taboo to grieve before a loss because it can seem like we've given up hope or are being pessimistic.
Load up with some hot cocoa and drive around with your family for a light tour. Take an evening to volunteer at their favorite non-profit or collect donations for their favorite charity to gift in their name.
I sometimes feel guilty when we are with my own dad and they see the father/daughter relationship they will miss out on. But my children do have a different relationship with their grandparents that most do not.
