We eventually get all five of us and the two dogs to the same spot. Of course, our precious middle daughter told me beforehand she would take one picture. Yes, ONE. Great, that’s only 146 less than we will need to take. So you can imagine she was a joy to work with while having her picture taken for 20 minutes straight. 
It is the stories of people that make up society's true history. While history books give you the broad strokes of events, they do not often show the very essence of the people who lived through them.
When I had my daughter, I was determined to teach her about her ancestral history and hopefully engrain a sense of pride in her African-American roots.
