At least when your kids are young, it's not often you can keep everyone seated in one place for more than two minutes. I love being together in one place during our rides to drop off someone at school or on the way to the store. These rare moments often lead to us having visits all together.
Since becoming a single mom to three active boys, I decided the family vacation was something I was not willing to give up. I wasn't going to let being the only grown up stop us from making memories each summer. East Tennessee offers hiking, water sports, pride in Native American history, museums, caves to explore, unbelievable yummy (fresh!) food, and the friendliest people ever. You can also find a bit of bustle in Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg. However, for our latest trip to Tennessee, we added Dollywood to our list.
