TAX FREE WEEKEND IS ABOUT TO HIT TEXAS AGAIN!!!!
It seems like the summers get shorter and shorter for kids these days. Back to school is right around the corner and I know a lot of people like to take advantage of the tax free shopping weekend to stock up on clothes and school supplies.
Here’s the list!!!!
Want to make sure you Cowtown Mamas didn’t miss a couple of REALLY important things on the list above – Diapers and Cowboy Boots!
In addition to the tax savings, many local shopping areas are hosting extended hours and some back to school events!
North East Mall (Extended Hours: 9:00am-10:00pm Friday & Saturday, 11:00am to 7:00pm Sunday
Hulen Mall (Extended Hours: Fri & Sat 9:00am – 10:00pm, Sun 12:00pm – 6:00pm)
Ridgmar Mall (Extended Hours: Fri & Sat 9:00am – 9:00pm, Sun 12:00pm – 7:00pm)
Back to School Expo, North East Mall Center Court Saturday, August 10 (12:00pm-3:00pm)
A free “Design You Own Notebook” and special goody bag will be distributed to the first 100 Simon Kidgits Club members, and kids can take part in several activity stations available that day. There will also be an assortment of local Exhibitors, including: Cook Children’s, Dallas Baptist University, Absolute Smile Dental, Korean Tae Kwon Do, and i9 Sports! They will also have a Bounce House, fun games, prize giveaways, storytime, craft activities, and Radio Disney!
Will you venture out during tax free weekend or do you avoid all shopping that weekend? What are you hoping to save on?
I will be avoiding all “shopping” areas this weekend. UGH, the crowds are not worth the % saved!! I wonder if ordering diapers on line would still receive the credit??
Ditto Gentry! Any shopping I do will occur strictly online.
Becky, this is great info. I love that BOOTS are included! ๐
Heck no! Crowds. Yikes.
I have an obsession with office supplies in general and The Container Store yesterday didn’t help that obsession it only made me go nutso over all the cute stuff! But yes, I am excited! Is Container store stuff tax free too? I wonder….
