Welcome to the Fort Worth Moms community calendar! This is a one-stop spot for our readers to check out all that is happening in Tarrant County and surrounding areas. From date night ideas to family outings, each month features events our readers want to attend.
Note: We do not allow recurring events lasting more than seven days. If you would like more information about promoting your event to FWM readers, please contact Lauren Stockard at [email protected].
All aboard! Clark Gardens’s fall opening will be celebrated with its annual Model Train Show. The trains are coming to town Saturday, September 2nd, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be fun for the whole family! The North Texas Garden Railroad Club & North Texas T Trak will take over the East Tent with loads of model train track, including different loops and auto switching displays. The crowd favorite Choo Choo Express will be offering trackless train rides through the garden, Dosey Dough Texas will be serving up lunch, Parker County Shaved Ice Co. will be offering cold treats, and there will be a bounce house for the kiddos to enjoy.
Don’t forget about the Clark Station, Clark Gardens’ residential model train station that houses a dozen model trains and displays Parker and Palo Pinto county landmark dioramas.
On Saturday there will also be a car show from 10am to 2pm, free for attendees to enjoy. This car show is sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Part Mineral Wells. The public will be voting to award best of show, 2nd and 3rd place.
Admission prices are: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (65 & older), and $5 for kids (4-12). Children 3 and under get in for free. Clark Gardens Members receive free admission by showing their membership card. No free passes or reciprocal memberships will be honored at this event.
