Dig out those bell bottoms and start warming up your booty: KC and The Sunshine Band are headed to the Levitt Pavilion for an electrifying outdoor concert you WON’T want to miss!
These Grammy-winning disco/pop icons are still going strong after four decades, playing more than 100 live shows each year at venues around the country and around the world. Famed for a signature fusion of R&B, funk, and Latin percussion groove, KC and The Sunshine Band gave us some of the ‘70s’ most memorable hits, such as “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s The Way (I Like It),” and “Shake Your Booty.” Fair warning: KC’s concerts have been known to cause infectious dancing, smiles, and a week-long bout of boogie fever. In other words, you’re guaranteed to come down with a good solid case of fun when you take in the show!
Opening for KC and The Sunshine Band is Retrophonics, a funky soul project from Fort Worth headed by singer-songwriter Chris Watson. With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Allen Stone, Retrophonics’ music harkens back to the golden age of soul, but with a neoteric spin. You’re definitely gonna dig the Retrophonics sound!
Tickets are available now for general, reserved, and VIP seating, beginning at only $45. But they won’t last long, so get yours today at levittpavilionarlington.org.
KC’s Levitt show is brought to you by Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. By the way, proceeds from the concert will benefit the Levitt’s free live music series, which you can learn more about when you visit the Levitt website and sign up for e-blasts, or by following @levittarlington.
