Finding the Perfect Care Provider {Sponsored by CareBooker}

Disclosure : Finding child care, pet sitting, and tutoring can be tough for moms. is a new online website that allows families and care providers to find each other. They have sponsored this post to get the word out about their services.

logo-smLaunched just this Fall, offers a new way for families to find, book, and pay for child care, pet care, tutoring, lessons, and more (housekeeping, senior care, and personal fitness are on the near horizon).

I will be honest. I am fortunate to have family in town who can babysit for us periodically, and when they can’t, we have two 20-something ladies who I call. Being a full time stay-at-home mom and a bit over-protective, leaving my kiddos in the care of someone other than myself makes me a bit anxious. So, when I was first asked to review CareBooker, I thought “I might not be the right person for this,” and then I realized, I am EXACTLY the right person to review this sort of thing. So I set out my list of concerns/questions and set out to see if could answer them from a picky mom!

How much will I be paying to use this website?

Well, most of it is ABSOLUTELY FREE. For people looking for services for their family, you can search providers (babysitters, tutors, pet sitters, etc) and view their full profiles (including background checks, qualifications, services, prices, and certified ratings and reviews). You can book interviews and appointments, get reminders via e-mail and text message, and pay online.

What all services do they offer?

Currently CareBooker has the categories of Babysitter, Nanny, Child Day Care (care provided in the providers home), Parent’s Helper (similar to babysitter but assists around the home with parents still there), Special Needs Care Providers (providers who are trained, experienced, or qualified in working with children with disabilities or conditions that require extra attention), Pet Boarding (takes place at the care provider’s location for an extended stay), Pet Sitting (at your home), and Pet Day Care (pet sitting at a provider’s location). They also have all types of tutoring (including both academic classes, special test prep and music lessons).

Can anyone register as Provider on this site? What types of checks are there?

Providers are able to register with CareBooker and enter a thorough profile. In addition to their profile  they are encouraged to request a free background check using the TalentShield system. This background check and profile are then visible to families search for services. Background checks and profiles do provide a fair amount of information, but CareBooker encourages families to book and conduct interviews (all can be scheduled through the ease of the website).

Who REALLY are submitting these reviews?

All of the reviews on the site are “certified,” which means that someone had to actually book and pay for services with that provider via CareBooker in-order to add the review/rate the provider.

What makes Carebooker different from other sites I have checked out?

Other sites I have seen charge to see full profiles and connect with providers – not the case here! Included in free membership are background checks as well! I love that you can book interviews through the CareBooker system. There is the option to not only book, but also to pay online for services – would be really useful I think for tutoring and music lessons where it would be a regular charge. I also love that reviews can only be done by people who have used the services of a provider.

What do I like best about CareBooker?

In addition to all the things I listed above that make it unique from similar sites, I especially like that it offers such a variety of services. I will be honest and say I probably wouldn’t need or use it for child care, but pet services? Yes! Tutoring and music lessons? Yes! And they are hoping to add in house cleaning services in the near future – YES PLEASE!

How do you find child care and pet sitter services? We hope you will give a try!
