November 4 – January 1
Come see the millions of dazzling lights at this drive-through show at Hurricane Harbor. Open seven days a week. Tickets from $29 per car.
Radiance! at the Ranch | Weatherford
November 18 – December 31
Sip cocoa from the comfort of your car as you marvel at twinkling lights animated to holiday classics. This year brings new scenes, more lights, and a VIP option. From $30.99 per car.
Lightscape | Fort Worth
November 18 – January 8 (select nights)
Hot and new alert! This international light sensation comes to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens for 2022. It’s a one-mile-long path with tunnels of lights, a fire garden, singing trees, and all sorts of artistic installations. Toast marshmallows and drinking seasonal beverages at stations along the trail. Lots more info at the link. Tickets from $18; kids two and under free. (Garden members get a $5 discount.)
Parade of Lights | Downtown Fort Worth
November 20
This annual tradition will be before Thanksgiving this year. Lots of details at the link including the parade route map and details on purchasing reserved street seats (from $22). Parade starts at 6:00 p.m.

Christmas on Main Street | Grapevine
November 21 – December 31
Experience the magical glow of Historic Downtown Grapevine all season long. You can also come out for one of the holiday light events: Carol of Lights has live performances and family-friendly fun on November 21. The annual Parade of Lights is scheduled for Thursday, December 1. And the Merry & Bright Drone Show is on December 3.
Christmastime in Texas | Joshua
November 24 – December 31
For those unfamiliar, Joshua is about 20 minutes south of Fort Worth. This drive-through light park is filled with hundreds of displays along a mile-and-a-half course. The event tent will have vendors and Santa photo ops. FAQ here. Tickets from $35 per car.
Prairie Lights | Grand Prairie
November 24 – December 31
Four million lights make up the super-long light tunnel and dazzling displays of this drive-through event. Plan to get out of your car at the mid-point to enjoy the holiday village: carnival rides, concessions, photos with Santa, a walk-through forest, and more. FAQs here. Tickets from $50 per car.
Gift of Lights | Texas Motor Speedway
November 24 – January 1
A Texas-sized drive-through light trail more two miles long and made up of millions of lights. FAQs here. FYI: Santa’s Village will not be a part of the 2022 – 2023 season. Tickets from $35 per car.
Daystar | Bedford
November 25 – January 2
Have you ever seen this spot from the highway and wondered what it was? Daystar Television Network has a newly added 950-foot lighted tunnel, interactive displays, a Christmas Town, life-sized Nativity, and more. Check the link for info on special activities like Santa photos and story time with Santa. Free!
Enchant Christmas | Fair Park
November 25 – January 4
Depending on your location, Fair Park in Dallas might not be too far of a hike. There’s a new story-based maze at Enchant this year — stroll and search for larger-than-life presents, find your way to the 100-foot-tall Christmas tree, and look for surprises as you go. There’s also an artisan market, ice skating, Santa visits, a play area, and more. Tickets from $20. Kids ages two and under are free.
Parade of Lights | Eagle Mountain Lake
November 26
Yes, this is a one-night-only event, but we’re including it because it’s unique! A fireworks show kicks off the proceedings at Lakeview Marina, then boats decked out in string lights and festive decor will “parade” to One Harbor Marina. Watch from your own boat or head to Twin Points Park and watch from shore. Specific route details at the link. Event begins at 8:00 p.m. Free! (Toys for Tots donations encouraged.)
Fairmount Festivus 2022 | Fort Worth
December 10
One more one-night-only event, but you can roll through the historic neighborhood any night to see holiday sights. For Festivus, a map of participating houses will be provided at the starting point. In exchange for your map, organizers ask for a small donation: $10 (suggested) or a new toy for One Safe Place. See link for details. Event runs 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Diamond Loch | North Richland Hills
~December 9 – December 25
Here’s a quaint neighborhood option: Many residents of the Diamond Loch subdivision adorn their homes, and you can tune in to the radio as you meander through (watch for signs to alert you to the proper station). As with Interlochen, cars can get backed up on weekends. Might be best on a low-key weekday night? Free!
Hint: Pop over to Curry Christmas Chaos, another NRH neighborhood display, either before or after!
Lights at Interlochen | Arlington
~December 16 – December 25
Put on your jammies and your best Christmas playlist and drive through the famed Arlington neighborhood where residents have been going all out with holiday lights for 40 years. See the link for a trail map, entrance and exit info, and other pertinent details. Free!
Speaking of FREE . . . we mentioned Downtown Grapevine above, but don’t forget that lots of places deck the halls this time of year. Enjoy twinkling lights at the Fort Worth Stockyards, Sundance Square, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and any historic town square (Historic Granbury Square and Downtown Denton Square are particularly picturesque).
