Andrea Swanner, Beal Media writer, joins Emily and Erinn to discuss a hot-button topic . . . right here, right now in an election year. She is the author of a popular article, “Bridging Politics :: Teaching Kids the Power of Diverse Perspectives.”
The conversation centers around this point: “Respect forms the cornerstone of healthy political discourse. Teaching our children to listen actively, empathize, and consider different viewpoints equips them with essential life skills.” That’s great in concept, but how do we actually model that, teach that, and live that in practical ways?
