What It’s Like to Parent a Child with ADHD :: Momfessions Podcast :: Episode 42

Moms answer the question what it is like to parent a kid with ADHD

In this episode, four Fort Worth moms discuss what it is like to parent kids with ADHD. Did you catch that? Moms, not medical professionals, therapists, or diagnosticians. Moms —  who live and breath this every day and who devote themselves to raising their kids the best ways they can — chat about their experiences of parenting a child with a ADHD diagnosis.

Joining co-hosts Beth and Emily are special guests Anna and Erinn. Beth leads Anna, Emily, and Erinn through a conversation through topics such as how ADHD impacts their families, changes their parenting, influences their decisions, and makes them better women.

  1. Thank you so much for this. I have a daughter that recently got diagnosed with ADHD, and like many other girls, she flew under the radar because she is super sweet, calm and behaves well outside of home. For years, I tried seeking help, but it wasn’t until she was falling behind in school, that someone listened. We are relatively new to this diagnosis, ARD meetings and everything that comes with it. If there is any resources or anything that you suggest us trying, please let us know. I heard that several of your children attended play therapy. Have you seen any changes? ours just went to counseling and it did nothing. Also, are your children on ADHD medicine? and if so, what do you think of it?
