Each month the Fort Worth Moms Blog (FWMB) team gets together for a quarterly business meeting . . . that really is an excuse to hang out and enjoy some fun! We cram a bit of business into 30 minutes or less and spend the rest of our girl time becoming better friends and experiencing fun spots around Tarrant County.
Oh, we’ve painted masterpieces at Van Grow Art Studio; we’ve nibbled on breakfast bits at the Bluebonnet Bakery; we’ve relaxed at the serene Howell Family Farms while the talented Gara Hill of Beyond the Blue Studios captured our smiles; we’ve dined in style thanks to the Hurley House and the Azalea Plantation Bed & Breakfast. See? We get around.
For our April 2016 shin dig, the FWMB team retreated to the oh-so-luxurious Woodhouse Day Spa that recently opened in Fort Worth. Our new motto? Who needs Calgon when you have Woodhouse!
Allow me to tell it like it is: My love language is spa. So, I’ve spent an hour or two here and there on the massage table and the pedi chair. Believe me when I tell you that Woodhouse Day Spa offers a unique experience — truly unlike any place I’ve “spa’d” before. Here’s why:
- Before Woodhouse, I went one place to get pedicures and another to get a facial and yet another for massages. However, Woodhouse Day Spa is a one-stop spa. It offers services I didn’t even know were possible: sleep treatments, stretch mark soothes, and a dream body polish. Sleep therapy? YES, please!
- The changing room/restroom . . . well, I could move in. Not only are the lockers adorable, but each guest also receives a robe AND shoes that actually fit. After your services, you are welcome to use the posh shower complete with complimentary toiletries. Need a hair dryer and hair products to refresh your hair? No problem! Woodhouse has those complimentary too.
- If the changing room wasn’t excellent enough, then you’ll faint in the relaxation room — before and after your service. Yes, you read that right. Woodhouse encourages you to relax and sip and recline before and after — no rushing you out the door. I can actually get my bearings after that one-hour rub instead of fumbling through my purse in a spa-drunk daze.
- And, of course, the services themselves are top-notch — private with everything needed to make you comfortable provided by therapists of the highest quality.
You’ll also be thrilled to know that your gal pals or business buddies can schedule a group meeting at Woodhouse Day Spa just like the FWMB team enjoyed. Our ladies met in the relaxation room, munched on dinner provided by Woodhouse, sipped lovely drinks, and enjoyed two mini spa services each. We had the whole place to ourselves! And did we mention the swag bags???
The Woodhouse Day Spa also offers packages perfect for gifts or for the lady who loves to try a little of this and that.
Three cheers for the Woodhouse Day Spa and the just-what-we-needed FWMB business meeting . . . because a team that spas together stays together.
