Summer Movie Programs

Hello Ft. Worth mommas….it’s movie time! As Texans, we all know how brutally hot it can get in the summer, so I am always on the lookout for INDOOR activities. Last summer some moms mentioned a summer movie program at our local theater, so I checked it out and bought our passes immediately!

Summer Movies

Here’s how it works: the theater selects a list of ten kid friendly shows, one for each week of the summer, and shows that movie on selected weekday mornings. The great thing is that it’s very affordable! For instance, this summer, for $12 total, I got 10 movies for my son and I. They also usually offer some sort of deal on a kid pack as well, popcorn, drink, snack. You can buy all movies at once or just show up that morning and buy your tickets at the box office. I prefer to buy at once to guarantee a spot.

Summer Movie Programs provide an endless sea of moms and kiddos, and though you’re more likely to hear kids talking than the movie, it is a fun morning activity, great for summers as we all try to beat the heat.  Last summer, my son looked forward to Tuesday morning every week!

Here is a list of some theaters that offer Summer Movie Programs – pick your local theater and check them out!

Harkins Theatres

Regal/United Artist Theatres

What movie are you looking forward to this summer?

  1. I have little ones (3 1/2 and 20 months) but one of our favorite movies is “Charlotte’s Web” (the Dakota Fanning one). I like it best because there is no “bad guy” in it and my kids LOVE LOVE LOVE the talking animals. We are headed on long driving vacation this summer and it will definitely be going in the car with us. We are also fans of Monsters, Inc., Cars and Nemo.
