On the weekends we like to spend our days as a family. After a long work week we love to spend quality time together and enjoy the outdoors. It gives us a chance to disconnect from the phone, internet, and TV and enjoy our city. Lately we’ve been enjoying renting a canoe through Backwoods Fort Worth. They offer a great service where you can rent a canoe or kayak for $20 an hour. We don’t ever stay on the water for more than an hour with a 3-year-old!

The views of the city on the river are gorgeous. You get a great workout without even thinking about it because your having so much fun! My son Connor says he sees sharks & alligators….I don’t think so 😉
He literally talk about going back out on the canoe all the time. He LOVES it! The wildlife and nature are the things that he enjoys the most. It’s a big adventure for Connor.
There is also an option to paddle board, but we aren’t quite there yet. We’ve been out three times and have loved every minute of it! If you’re looking for something fun to do with your family this summer I would definitely check it out.
