Head to East Texas to visit the unique town of Texarkana. Texarkana is by four states: Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The town is divided in two states: Texas and Arkansas. Texarkana is a great place to visit with your family and check off three other states on your trip.

Make sure you stop by the courthouse and stand in two states at once. It is also the second most photographed courthouse in the nation. There are many outdoor and family friendly activities to do on your visit.

What to Do

Bringle Lake Park West // Visit this beautiful seven-acre park. It has something for everyone — a boat ramp, playground, scenic trails, and volleyball. 

Discovery Place Children’s Museum // Kids will love this interactive museum to learn and discover. From history to science, your kids will love the variety of information!

Four States Auto Museum // This museum celebrates the history of the automobile. This free museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, so come check out cool, classic cars.

Perot Theatre // Come visit this historical landmark. This beautifully refurbished theatre is a great place to catch a play for date night.

Spring Lake Park // Spring Lake Park is a 145-acre park with various activities for all seasons and ages. This includes the 1.75 mile Philip McDougal trail. The park also has fishing, disc golf course, splash pad, dog park, and more. In the spring and fall, check out the concerts and movie night in the event area. 

Texarkana Texas Farmer’s Market // Your kids will enjoy locally grown foods and high quality products. The farmer’s market is open from April through July.
