Filled with lacy snowflakes and delectable sweets, The Nutcracker heralds the magic of the season with visions of enchantment and joy. Follow along with the beloved holiday story as Clara travels to the Kingdom of Sweets with her Nutcracker Prince.

Attend a performance in Dallas, November 24 – December 3, or in Fort Worth, December 8 – 24. The Nutcracker is approximately two hours long, with one intermission. Buy tickets today!

Bella’s Book and Nature Club :: First Wednesday of the month at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Discuss nature, read a story, sing and move, plus enjoy a family nature challenge! For children ages 18 months – five years and their families.


 

Carter Play Date :: Select Saturday each month at the Amon Carter Muesum. This free free program is for children ages three – five and their families. Registration is required.


 

Enrichment Programs :: Select days at River Legacy Science Center, Arlington. For kids ages five – 15. 


 

Family Story Time at Summerglen :: Every Tuesday at Summerglen Library. Join us for stories, songs, and activities in a fun, interactive environment. Intended for children of all ages and their grown-ups.


 

Homeschool Club :: Select Thursdays, at River Legacy Science Center, Arlington. For students five – 11 years old.


 

Homeschool Days :: Select Mondays, at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Learning levels: kindergarten – 5th grade.


 

Itty Bitty Art :: Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth. Select Saturdays. A free program for children 24 months and younger (with their favorite adult). Registration is required.


 

LightScape :: Fort Worth Botanic Garden, November 17, 2023 – January 1, 2024. A holiday light festival for the whole family to enjoy! Tickets start at $11 per person for members, $23 per person for non-members. 


 

Nature School :: River Legacy Science Center, Arlington. Hands-on exploration of nature, indoor and outdoor activities, meaningful opportunities to develop math and science process skills. For kids ages three – five (not yet enrolled in kindergarten, and must be fully toilet trained).


 

Preschool Story Time :: Every Tuesday, 10:30 – 11:15 a.m., at East Regional Library. Stories, songs, and activities to build reading and school readiness skills, social and emotional skills, and community. Preschool Story Time is intended for children three – five years old and their grownups


 

Story Time :: Every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m., Monkey and Dog Books in Fort Worth.


 

Toddler Tuesdays :: Amon Carter Museum Fort Worth. First Tuesday of the month, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For kids two and three years of age. Free event, but reservations required.

Chalk It Up! :: Annual chalk art contest at Harris Ryals Park in Bedford. November 4, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Lots of prizes and categories — see details at the link. Registration required. Free!


 

Fall Japanese Festival :: November 4 – 5, Fort Worth Botanic Garden, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tickets: $6 – $10.


 

Family Workshop: Creative Construction :: Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth. November 4, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Family Workshops are a bimonthly program designed for children six – 12 years old and their favorite adults. Free, but registration is required.


 

Toddler Hide-and-Seek :: Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth. November 4, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For kids two and three years of age. Free event, but registration is required.

Drawing from the Collection for Children :: The Modern, Fort Worth. Starts at 2:00 p.m. For kids ages five – 12. Bring your own sketchbook and pencils. Space is limited, so get there early and sign up at the front desk.

Homeschool at the Carter: Worlds of Wonder :: Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth. November 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This event is designed for students ages five – 17 years. Participants are asked to stay in family groups with their adult caregivers for this program. Free, but registration is required.

Family A – Z Walk :: River Legacy Science Center, Arlington. From 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Cost is $10 per person. 


 

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live :: Dickies Arena, Fort Worth. November 11 – 12. Tickets start at $14 per child, $34 per adult. See website for hours and details.   


 

Storybook: Cinderella :: Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, at Bass Performance Hall, Fort Worth. Starts at 11:00 a.m. Tickets: $11 – $21 per person.


 

Veteran’s Day Parade :: November 11, at 10:00 a.m. The acclaimed parade returns to Historic Downtown Mansfield followed immediately by a musical patriotic salute. See the link for a parade route map and details on the three new special exhibits in the area. Free!

Central Park Grand Re-Opening :: November 18, from 10:00 – 12:00 a.m. Come out for a morning of fun and celebrate the re-opening of Bedford’s newest playground, Central Park.

Elves will be picking up and delivering these letters straight to the big man himself.  To receive a letter in return, please include the name and complete address of the sender.

Elves will be picking up and delivering these letters straight to the big man himself.  To receive a letter in return, please include the name and complete address of the sender.
