Allison is a Fort Worth native who works at Monkey & Dog Book Shop helping customers find the right book. She has been married to Scott for 20 years and has two teenage daughters (15 & 17). Other family members include two dogs and a dwarf hamster. In her spare time she reads, rides her Peloton, and is a board member for National Charity League, Inc., Fort Worth Trailblazers, a mother/daughter volunteer organization.
Becki lives in Fort Worth with her husband, Jordan, and two-year-old daughter, Brianna. When she's not busy chasing after an active toddler, Becki works as a mental health counselor providing video counseling and specializing in grief and loss and maternal mental health (at Center for Neuroperformance & Counseling).
As a native Fort Worthian, Elizabeth loves Fort Worth. She and her husband, Will, have two children who are absolute gems. She is a research analyst at Tarrant County College – access to education is a passion of hers. When not working or playing with her kids, she is running. Elizabeth competed in the 2016 and 2020 marathon Olympic trials, she and her children set the 10K double stroller Guinness World record in 2019, and she has won each Cowtown Marathon distance - 5K to 50K.
Since 1999, Emily has worked in various aspects of the publishing industry: curriculum, magazines, books, and newspapers. She first became involved with Fort Worth Moms in 2013 as a contributing writer. She became the managing editor in 2014. Twelve months later, she became the sole owner of Fort Worth Moms. She is also a co-host for the Momfessions Podcast. In 2014, she co-authored and released Legendary Locals of Fort Worth. She has also co-written a Bible study, Grace in the Empty Spaces. She also enjoys gardening, yard sales, and drinking Dr. Pepper.
Texas transplant Katie moved from Washington State to the DFW area in 2013 with her husband, Jason. They are proud parents of two-year-old Amelia, who is growing into an animal-loving little girl who enjoys "helping" with the family's dogs, cat, chickens, and horses. Katie is digital editor at the national magazine Western Horseman, based in Fort Worth. Like every other mom out there, she's "making it up as I go" as she juggles the daily chores and responsibilities of being a working mom, wife, animal mom, friend, and more, and hopes to share her story (the good, the bad, and the ugly) with local parents.
Lauren is an adventure seeking go-getter with a heart for cultivating community and a passion for cheering on women in the trenches of motherhood. Lauren and her husband, Sam, moved to Texas in 2014 and immediately fell in love with Fort Worth. After some struggles with infertility, they welcomed their first son home in 2016 and their second son home in 2019. Lauren took on her role at FWM in January 2017. Currently, she works as sponsorship + social media director, and pr and marketing coordinator for FWM. Lauren leads our sponsorship team, keeps our social media pages up and running, and works hard to connect local businesses and moms with the extensive resources FWM provides. Linda, originally from the city of Pittsburgh, settled into Fort Worth four years ago after her husband’s job relocated. They met as college freshmen and have navigated life together since. In 2019, they welcomed their daughter, Amelia. Linda is a new mom and working full time for a Pittsburgh-based company as a certified health and wellness coach. Her passion is centered around self-care and embracing life as a new mom.
Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sarah met her husband Aaron in college where they were both pursuing music degrees. After several fast-paced years in New York City, they settled in the Fort Worth area in 2013. Their greatest adventure began in early 2019 with the birth of their daughter Eleanor. Sarah currently works in the hospitality industry and has a passion for food and wine. She enjoys practicing yoga, watching reality TV, perusing recipes and restaurant menus online, and pretending she can cook and host like Barefoot Contessa.
