Fort Worth Moms

A friend to most and a mom to many, this mother of six is a photographer who loves to plan events. She is a board member for a nonprofit for veterans, and, for the past 14 years, has been planning and hosting a flag football event benefiting breast cancer research. She enjoys reading, learning new things, and cheering on her kids for all their accomplishments. Ashanti's happy place is church, a bookstore, and any place that serves coffee.

Kristen Gardiner moved to the Dallas area (Allen) in 2018 with her husband and three boys (born in 2010, 2012, and 2015). She has a marketing degree from Texas A&M (class of '06) and an M.B.A. from Texas A&M --Corpus Christi. Kristen met her husband while working at Whataburger in College Station, and they have been inseparable ever since. She has spent the past few years as a freelance writer and marketing consultant. Kristen is passionate about storytelling and sharing about struggles with mental health in motherhood on her blog Driving Mom Crazy.

Lauren moved to Texas from Maryland in 2010. She has made Fort Worth her home and loves the area! She's a single mom to her son Henry, who is on the Autism Spectrum. She works in a Fort Worth pediatric dental office, and she enjoys running, hiking, and being involved in the community. She also leads Moms of Kids with Differences and Disabilities Fort Worth Area and Southwest Fort Worth Moms.

Missy lives in Frisco with her concert-crazy husband, Adam, and two “couldn’t be more different” daughters, Raegan (6) and Maddie (4). She met Adam while living in Australia, and often jokes she brought him home as a souvenir. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, she will proudly yell, “Go Pokes” across a store or restaurant when she sees a fellow fan! When she isn’t busy taking her girls to dance or gymnastics, you can find Missy crafting, talking to her three kitties, or wandering Target while sipping an iced coffee.

Sarah is on a new season of motherhood -- navigating life with a busy toddler and teenager! Life is truly a balancing act keeping both ages and stages happy while working full time. Sarah joins Fort Worth Moms as a fellow mom of twp, with previous experience writing for Collin County Moms as a senior contributor, joining at its inception in October 2016. Sarah is married and works full time as a publicist locally to DFW. On weekends she is always on the hunt for a new park to explore with the kids or a cafe to sip coffee.

Sarah Strackhouse is a journalist and multi-media business owner focusing on videography, photography, and live event production. She created Strackhouse Media, working on videography, photography, on-camera work, and graphic design.
