Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio
Saturdays

Kids ages 12 and younger (plus adult companions) can visit the museum on Saturdays for special gallery explorations and related studio-art projects. This month’s theme is “We Heart Art.” 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. Free!


Youth Art Month

Every year, the Arlington Museum of Art partners with Arlington Independent School District to encourage young artists and support art education. Come see students’ paintings, drawings, sculptures, and more. During Youth Art Month, museum admission is free!

The Play That Goes Wrong

Looks like Stage West Theatre added additional dates to this one — that must mean it’s good! If you have teens, consider this madcap, meta play about the opening night of a murder mystery play. Tickets $20 – $45.

Art Making at Sundance Square

Older kids might enjoy this one, and it would be a nice little one-on-one date: Dress for art making and meet in the pavilion for a low-key art class taught by an experienced instructor. See link for what to bring, depending on the class you choose. 9:00 – 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Free!

Saturday Story Time

Head to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for a short children’s program and get a sheet of activities to try in the garden or at home. Designed for ages 18 months to five years, but all are invited to join. 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Included with garden admission.

Toddler Studio: Sensory Surprise!

A fun-filled morning of toddler-friendly sensory fun at the Amon Carter. Designed for kids ages two to three. 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Free! Reservations required.

The Nature Adventurers program at River Legacy Living Science Center in Arlington is designed for children ages two and a half to five years old. TRWD Flyfest

A celebration of urban fishing along the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. It will have a trout contest, open fishing, kid activities, live music, vendors, and more. 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Free!

Take a field trip to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for special activities in Innovation Studios, new exhibits, and fun gifts at Shop Too. Included in museum admission.


Prehistoric Park
Starting March 11

See animatronic dinos at Meadowmere Park in Grapevine! Activities include boneyard games, exhibit displays, tracks trail, and a dig site to discover bones of the past. See details at the link on Dinos After Dark: Nighttime. Tickets $29 per vehicle.

The Amon Carter Musuem gets in on spring break action, too. You’ll find lots of gallery games, art-making activities, creativity challenges, and more. All ages welcome. Free!

Cheer for our minor league hockey team in North Richland Hills! If you’ve never been, minor league sporting events are quite fun — casual, more intimate, and less expensive than their major league counterparts. 7:30 p.m. Tickets from $10.

The Grand Prairie Arts Council presents this dynamic stage musical that demonstrates the power of optimism (and has a healthy dose of silliness, of course). Suitable for all ages. Tickets from $15.

Funky Finds Spring Fling

Shop small, shop local, shop funky. Local vendors will be selling their handcrafted wares at Will Rogers Memorial Center this weekend. Fundraising benefits Saving Hope Animal Rescue and CASA of Tarrant County. More details at the link. Free!
