Where to Find Food Support for North Texas Families :: VIDEO

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) visited with Fort Worth Moms to discuss allllll the food support services it offers, especially in the summertime when kids are out of school.

TAFB realizes there is an increased need for food support in the summer and is asking for greater community support throughout the summer to ensure no child goes hungry.

TAFB will increase partner agency feeding programs, adding stops with its R.E.D. Buses —  continuing to add more in-school markets (who will offer summer hours) for the community that will meet the needs of single moms and families across the 13-county service area.   The Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program will offer vouchers to WIC clients and can be used at Cowtown Farmer’s Markets this summer. Lastly, Summer Hunger support will culminate with back-to-school mobile events in August. All to ensure children have a healthy, hunger-free summer.
