Each location offers similar hours of operation, and the prices are pretty reasonable for a family outing. They also offer party packages, so you might inquire about prices, if your kids love to skate and have a birthday on the horizon. Roller skating also makes a great date night activity. I know I’m adding it to my list of ideas for when we want to do something other than dinner and a movie.

1. Arlington Skatium

The first on the list of roller skating rinks in Tarrant County is actually the largest in Texas! Arlington Skatium is the first rink we visited because it offers skating lessons every Saturday morning at 11:40 a.m. before it opens to the public — all skill levels and ages are welcome.

Then, once lessons are over, you can skate for free! As an added bonus, you don’t have to pre-register for lessons. You can just show up that morning and pay the low lesson price of $12. It also offers lesson bundles where you pay for a total of five lessons.

If you already know how to skate, the regular admission price is $14 on the weekends and half-price on Wednesday nights. This skating rink also offers a family bundle — pick between a Friday night out or a Sunday afternoon.

2. Rollerland West

Rollerland West is located on Calmont Avenue in west Fort Worth. It’s across Interstate 30 from the Ridgemar Mall. It also has a bargain night on Wednesday evenings where the total price is $5. The remaining nights shoot up to $9. If this location is packed, don’t worry because there is another roller rink only a mile and a half away!

3. RollerWorld NorthEast

Centrally located within Tarrant County, this roller skating rink can be found in Haltom City. RollerWorld is open Wednesday through Sunday, and has reasonable prices. Wednesday is the cheapest night with $3 admission, but the other days are only $6, so it makes for a super affordable night out with the kids.

Don’t forget that you also have to account for renting skates if you don’t have your own. Skate rental is an additional $4.

This is also a great place for date night. Thursday nights are reserved for adults only.

4. Silver Wheel Skating

Up the road from Rollerland West, Silver Wheel Skating has been open since 1952, y’all! Half-price night is Wednesday, again with $5 admission. Silver Wheel also offers a family package on Wednesday nights for a family of four. This deal includes skating, a large pizza, and drinks for $40. That’s a pretty cheap night out, in my opinion. All other nights will cost you a $10 admission fee, plus skate rental, and the cost of food.

So, which roller skating rink will you check out in Tarrant County? Maybe you can visit all four this summer!
