Infertility became my reality before I ever said “I do” or put much thought into what it would mean to my 30-year-old self. After adoption made me a mother and I entered the motherhood world, I realized I was not alone in fertility issues. Well, I guess I always knew I wasn’t the only one in this situation, but I never imagined how many women it impacted. Friend after friend after friend of a friend and family and more and more all had their own stories of disappointment, heartache, and loss. Fertility issues are very present and will continue to be — but the issues are not without hope and, yes, even healing.
It is also the heart behind these articles published throughout the years at Fort Worth Moms. Many women who’ve been part of our team know the infertility struggle. They and other guest writers have boldly shared their stories with us, with you. We hope these words provide assurance, guidance, and camaraderie.
