Attend Dinosaur Safari at River Legacy Living Science Center in Fort Worth.The guide is brought to you by our friends at River Legacy Living Science Center. Immerse yourself in a world of dinosaurs during River Legacy’s NEW limited time traveling exhibit, Dinosaur Safari! Dia de los Muertos in Garland // Honor past loved ones at this free event with performances by Los Matachines, various student performances from mariachi to ballet folklorico, and much more! There will be kid bounce houses, cultural art show, and altar displays.

November 5

Kids Night Out – Peter Rabbit at Young Chefs Academy //  Drop off your kiddos at the Young Chefs Academy kitchens while they enjoy a few hours of their own fun. Stir things up with kids-only style, with tasty, non-stop culinary magic! This is a three-hour event. $45 per participant! 

November 6 

Kimbell Kids Drop-In Studio // This free program introduces children (ages 12 and younger) and their adult companions to fun and inspiring ways to enjoy art together. Each session features a brief gallery activity and a related studio-art project.

November 10 

Homeschool at the Carter: Woven Experiences // Immerse yourself in the Anila Quayyum Agha: A Beautiful Despair exhibition and explore how artists in the Carter’s collection use unexpected processes to reveal their unique experiences. Participants will get creative and explore how to craft a work of art that expresses their own identity. This workshop is offered in English and Spanish. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.

November 12

Kids Club at Art Barn Studio // This is a chance for your little one ages 6+ to create his or her own lighted Christmas tree! This ceramic Christmas tree is nine inches tall and comes with a light kit. This makes a great keepsake and nightlight for kids. Kids Club is a drop off event for kids to have a fun night out!

Fort Worth Greek Festival at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church // Attend the 53rd annual Greek Festival! Eat authentic Greek meals prepared by local families. Take home baked and frozen foods, including pastries, breads, desserts and ready to heat dishes. Take a tour of our beautiful Church Sanctuary with Fr. Nicholas. Admission to the festival is $1.

November 12 – 14

The Cowgirl Gathering in the Fort Worth Historic Stockyards // The Cowgirl Gathering is a three-day long celebrating spectacular women from all walks of life who embody the spirit of the American Cowgirl. The weekend will feature competitors and their skills in breakaway roping, team roping, and barrel racing. The event will have empowering female speakers, a fashion show, wine tasting, and an art show!

November 12 – 13 

River & Blues Festival at Panther Island Pavilion // From longtime favorites to soulful up-and-comers, River & Blues Festival is bringing the gritty sounds of country and blues back to Fort Worth for the second year at Panther Island Pavilion. Located in the heart of Fort Worth, River & Blues Festival is a two-day live music experience filled with some of the best and most diverse artists in country and blues. 

November 13

Winter Craft Market at The Oakridge School // This craft market features unique gifts and crafts with more than 90 vendors, a petting zoo, food trucks on site, and more at this FREE family-friendly event.

November 13 – February 12

Dinosaur Safari at River Legacy Living Science Center // Uncover the mysteries of our prehistoric past in Dinosaur Safari! In an immersive jungle setting, guests will go on an unforgettable adventure full of hands-on experiences and close encounters with animatronic dinosaurs and fossils. Children will investigate the clues these creatures have left behind in order to learn about dinosaurs and what life was like when they roamed the earth. The grand opening party is November 13.

Fort Worth Margarita Ball at the The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel // The Margarita Ball is back this year. The event benefits local underserved and at-risk children throughout Tarrant County. Tickets include unlimited margaritas, live music by Stratosphere Band, a casino, silent auction, and more. Your toy donation is included, too!

November 13 – 14

Fall Japanese Festival // Enjoy traditional Japanese dance, taiko drummers, martial arts, sword demonstrations, raku pottery, food trucks, and more in the garden. This year, some activities may be modified to adhere to social distancing measures. Food will be sold at food trucks/concessions, and vendors/performers will adhere to safety guidelines. 

November 14

Fort Worth Pizza Fest // Attend the second annual Fort Worth Pizza Fest, the biggest celebration of pizza! There will be a pizza trucks block party, pizza eating contest, kids bounce, live shows and performances, beer and wine garden, and so much more!

Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live at Dickie’s Arena // The thrilling family entertainment tour brings audiences the only opportunity to see real-life versions of the famous Hot Wheels monster trucks toys, including returning favorites – Bone Shaker, Tiger Shark, V8 Bomber, and Demo Derby. Fans will experience exciting show action and fuel-injected playfulness with over-the-top smashing, crashing, and epic monster truck competitions and battles.

November 16 – 21

CATS at Bass Hall // Winner of seven Tony Awards including best musical, CATS tells the story of one magical night when an extraordinary tribe of cats gathers for its annual ball to rejoice and decide which cat will be reborn. 

November 19

An Artists Christmas: An Evening with Emmett Smith // Art lovers and Camp Fire supporters gather together for the 37th anniversary of An Artists’ Christmas. This year stars three-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith. Patrons will socialize, expand their collection of original art, enjoy a plated dinner, and bid on live auction experiences at the elegant Fort Worth Convention Center Ballroom in support of the children of our community. 

November 20

Pumpkin Spice 5K • 10K • Half Marathon at Panther Island Pavilion // Run great routes along Trinity River Trails and stick around for the afterparty with pumpkin spice coffee, hot chocolate, fall festive beer, goodies, and great music. 

November 20 – 21 

Funky Finds Holiday Shopping Experience at Will Rogers Memorial Center // With more than 180 vendors, discover the best, one-of-a-kind items that are locally handcrafted and curated. Fundraising benefits Saving Hope Rescue and DFW Toys for Tots. Bring a new unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and/or a pet food donation for Don’t Forget to Feed Me and receive a free raffle ticket. FREE Admission, $10 parking.

November 20 – December 23

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Casa Mañana // Watch this holiday adaptation, with holiday hits like “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” “The Island of Misfit Toys,” “The Most Wonderful Day of the Year,” and everyone’s favorite, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” The show features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure emphasizes what makes you different is what makes you special. Suitable for all audiences.

November 22 -23

Fall Zoo Camp at Fort Worth Zoo // This camp focuses on wildlife conservation and the outdoors through outdoor play and interactive experiences. 

November 25 

YMCA Turkey Trot in Fort Worth // Lace up and work off your turkey dinner with the Forth Worth YMCA Turkey Trot. Find this run and others in FWM Guide to Running Events.
