Having a tough time deciding what to do? Brunch is always a good answer! 

Here are some fun places around town to take mom. The price points range depending on what you’re in the mood for. And remember what mama always said: Plan ahead, because you might need to make reservations.

Classic Brunch Ideas 

Nothing says Mother’s Day like your classic brunch. Everyone dresses up (or down, whatever mom wants) and enjoys a delicious meal that no one has to clean up!

360 Brunch House :: $$ :: Brunch is its middle name, literally, so you know it’s gonna be good. This brunch and lunch spot in Mansfield serves homemade pancake and egg dishes as well as fresh-squeezed juices. Its vast menu offers savory and sweet, protein-packed, deep fried, or meals with a side of acai.

B&B Butcher’s and Restaurant :: $$$ :: With a Fort Worth and Houston location, this hot spot pays special attention to mamas on their day. Its Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. features live music, a delicious brunch menu, and a balloon artist to entertain kiddos. Plus, each mom will receive a complimentary mimosa or bellini! 

Blue Mesa Grill :: $$ :: Dine at Blue Mesa Grill for a special Mother’s Day brunch, Tex-Mex style. The all-you-can-eat weekend brunch runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but it’s a good idea to call to reserve your spot. The mega buffet, which includes mimosas, orange juice, coffee, tea, and soft drinks, is $40 per person. Kids ages six to 11 are $12, and kids five and younger eat free.

Brewed :: $$ :: Brewed will be hosting a special Mother’s Day brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. From pulled pork hash to bread pudding French toast, there’s a delectable meal waiting.

The Capital Grille :: $$$ :: Reserve a table at Capital Grille for a classy brunch on Mother’s Day from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In addition to its kid-friendly menu, mom’s brunch features chef’s favorites: Lobster frittata, an eight-ounce center cut filet mignon, and crab cake benedict with truffle hollandaise sauce, all served with white cheddar hash browns.

Ellerbe Fine Foods :: $$$ :: For an experience to remember, dine at Ellerbe Fine Foods on Magnolia Avenue where chef Molly McCook, a James Beard semi-finalist, sources all her ingredients from local farmers. This darling restaurant serves elegant meals moms will love paired with a seasonal wine list.

Gemelle :: $$ :: Set the perfect Mother’s Day scene at Gemelle, a garden patio serving upscale pizza and pasta. This restaurant is owned by chef Tim Love and has a breakfast for Hotel Otto guests, and a lunch and dinner menu for the public.

Montgomery Street Cafe :: $ :: A 50s diner located on Montgomery Street, this local favorite is small in space but big in taste. Omelets, French toast, you name it. This place has it! 

Ol’ South Pancake House :: $ :: This casual atmosphere dishes all the classic breakfast and lunch dishes mom could want at an affordable price! And if she’s in the mood to try something new, order their famous German pancake spritzed with lemon juice at the table.

Restaurant 506 :: $$ :: This Arlington treat at the Sanford House bed and breakfast offers indoor and outdoor seating in its courtyard (weather-permitting). The unique menu  provides something for everyone such as pork belly frittata or the always-popular cinnamon pecan pancakes. 

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery :: $$ :: You won’t find a wider selection of eggs Benedict anywhere but Snooze! This place is bustling, but patrons can get on a waitlist once at the door, so get there early (it opens at 6:30 a.m.)! 

Via Reál :: $$ :: Located in Irving, Sunday brunch here is Santa Fe-style. Enjoy a breakfast station serving chilaquiles, southwestern eggs Benedict, and potato and egg burritos. Kids will enjoy homemade waffles and hashbrowns. Brunch costs $38 for adults and $12 for children ages 12 and younger.

Vickery Cafe :: $ :: A throwback diner with all the classics (hello, fresh-squeezed orange juice!) and served with great customer service. Arrive early for a filling brunch. 

Wishbone & Flynt :: $$ :: This award-winning restaurant in Fort Worth offers a scratch-made menu in a comfortable setting. The brunch menu includes fun treats such as homemade jam and s’mores French toast.

Yolk. :: $$ ::Treat mom to a restaurant that serves creative breakfasts like a waffle benny, and an assortment of orange juices. It offers classic breakfast and lunch options as well as indulgent espresso-based drinks.

A Brunch to Remember

Maybe your Mother’s Day needs something out of the ordinary, or a casual place to pass the time with the whole family. Check out these unique places!

Chicken N Pickle :: Enjoy a day of pickle ball and clean eats at this restaurant and play venue. There are indoor and outdoor pickle ball courts plus a wide variety of yard games and space to run and play. 

Firehouse Gastro Park :: This renovated historic firehouse in Grand Prairie provides a laidback space for small and large family gatherings, inside or out. The coffee shop opens at 7 am, and the full menu starts at 11 am on Sundays along with Mama’s Bar — a full-service, scratch bar with recipes only found in Grand Prairie! 

Fort Brewery :: Bring your pup along to experience the self-proclaimed “Famous Fort Brunch” this Mother’s Day and every weekend from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This family-friendly place offers delicious food, live music, and plenty of space for kids to run. Menu items include classic breakfast treats, a kid’s menu, and even a mutt menu. 

Fort Worth Zoo :: Reserve tickets early (May 6) for Mother’s Day with the giraffes at Fort Worth Zoo! Tickets include an outdoor brunch, a meet-and-greet with the zoo’s outreach animals, a giraffe-feeding experience, and admission for the day. Tickets are $85 for adults (ages 13 and older), $30 for children (ages three to 12), and children two and younger are free. All proceeds support the zoo’s adoption program, and its newest mother, Scarlett the mandrill.

Pinstripes :: Why not celebrate mom with bowling and bocce ball? Pizza and gelato, too? This multi-faceted venue in Fort Worth has plenty to do and eat for the whole family.

Taste Project :: Chef Jeff and his team prepare a special menu for Mother’s Day at their pay-what-you-can non-profit. Brunch is prepared and served by a team of volunteers, and everyone is welcome. Enjoy favorites such as strawberry French toast and Coho salmon plus new options for mom’s special day. 

Top Golf :: We typically leave golf for dad, but it can be fun for everyone at Top Golf! This venue where golf-meets-food is open to all skill levels, and the full menu caters to all appetites. There are locations all over the metroplex, too.
