Education

Education. As a mother, it’s almost safe to say there is nothing more important in raising a child. The education category is intended to be a resource for mothers, whether your kiddos are in preschool, kindergarten, elementary, or high school. Topics range from parent-teacher gifts to STAAR testing, and more.

Fort Worth Moms publishes original, personal stories and advice from local moms, as well as relevant and fun information for those of us in the trenches of parenthood.

Every article published via Fort Worth Moms — whether someone from our in-house team, a guest writer, or a sponsored writer — uses their words to reflect their own opinions, experiences, and beliefs. No singular article or collection of articles represents the opinions, beliefs, or agenda of Fort Worth Moms.

According to the College Board, the average price of tuition for 2017 is $9,410 for a public four-year (in-state student) and $32,410 for a private four-year college. It is hard to know what it will cost in 18 years; many people say the trend of around a 6 percent annual increase will continue, while other reports think the bubble will burst at some point. What we can be certain of is the cost of tuition will be more than it is today.
More than any other question, moms ask our Fort Worth team about education choices. The options can be overwhelming! To help get you started in the decision-making process, we've compiled a list of public and charter schools in the...
This post is part of "Bully No More," an editorial series hosted by the Fort Worth Moms Blog. Each morning, I walk into school with two sets of eyes: I am a mother and an educator. Because of these experiences,...
