Around Cowtown :: Family Friendly Events {October 2019}

Our friends at iCare Emergency Room and Urgent Care sponsored this edition of “Around Cowtown.” With wait times of less than five minutes, patients at iCare will be seen by board-certified emergency physicians and registered emergency nurses. The facilities offer on-site lab testing, X-ray, CT, and ultrasound services. Virtual urgent care services allow patients to be seen – and diagnosed – by a board-certified physician without leaving the comfort of home. For more information on these or other services, visit iCare online at www.icare-er.com or call the Fort Worth center (located at Chisholm Trail & Sycamore School Road) at 469-754-8634. Look it up on Facebook or Twitter.

After one of the hottest Septembers in Texas, we are more than ready for fall weather to start rolling in! Until then, maybe a pumpkin-flavored sno-cone, anyone? We also love fall because it seems to represent a nostalgic time for families to gather, get outdoors, and make memories before the hectic wintertime holidays.

Nestle down in a cozy blanket (turn up the AC if it’s still hot outside), sip on your spiced latte, and dive into our three-in-one “Guide to Fall Activities,” which includes resources for pumpkin patches, farms and mazes, and fall events. When you’re done with your spiced latte, maybe you’re ready for a beer (we’re only half-joking). Pile in the car and head to one of these family-friendly breweries. Most have fun yard games for the kids and a big-screen TV with football — the perfect ingredients for making fall memories.
