Fort Worth Moms (FWM) compiled a list of some of our readers' (and contributors' — and executive staffers' — and Neighbor Group Leaders') favorite coffee spots in Tarrant County and surrounding areas.
Kiddos playing, skating, biking, running around with friends, and swimming all day means some hungry bellies will be yelling “Mom! There’s nothing to eat!” One of the most dreaded hurdles of summer time is feeding your growing, active crew. As much as we all love the drive thru, even that gets old after the third or fourth trip.
What makes a restaurant kid-friendly? We considered several aspects: diaper-changing stations, clean restrooms, friendly staff, several options on the kids' menu, activities for kids (beyond crayons and paper), a fun atmosphere, and/or a welcoming environment. While not all restaurants included in this list check each and every one of the kid-friendly boxes, they do offer a kid-friendly experience that is above par, meeting at least three of the standards listed above.
While there are many places to order hot water and select a tea bag, I was looking for places that had a wide selection of teas and/or a tea offering that I found particularly spectacular. Finally, I was also looking for aura -- a place that provided a warm and inviting environment. Here are my top six places to go in Fort Worth when I need a little tea time.
Pack up some toys and snacks for the kiddos, fill the diaper bag with the necessities (we recommend a changing pad, towel, or blanket too -- as many breweries don’t provide changing tables), and head out to your local brewery. Or plan a trip to a brewery in a neighboring town for an afternoon of fun with the family!

Tarrant County hosts numerous farmers markets across the area; some are seasonal, and others stay open all year round! Some take place outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. Others operate indoors (hello, air conditioning). Every one is a great way for your family to support local, enjoy fresh produce, and have fun!
