The same questions I asked my plants are the same questions I must ask myself. Am I getting enough water throughout the day or am I parched? Have I soaked in the sun’s goodness, while being adequately lathered in sunscreen, during my daily walk or while playing in the backyard with my son?

I remember her gray hair and amused smile, there in the baby aisle at Target. I wrestled my two small sons very late in my third pregnancy. She clucked her tongue and said, "Oh, enjoy it while you can....

Honestly, it doesn't matter how you journal -- but as a daughter who very much appreciates the journals her mom kept, I encourage you to keep a record of your life somehow. I've been amazed at some of the things I've learned about my mom and the influence she had in how I parent my kiddos everyday.

I tell people about my experience and my reasoning and I'm usually met with, "Oh my gosh! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you! Now if only I can convince my doctor to do it for me!"

I was presented with what I thought was going to be the best decision ever. It was a long interview process -- almost three weeks. In that time I kept contemplating how happy I would be if I got the job and how proud of myself I would be.
